We got confused when we saw that we were wearing the dark shorts.

It's more the fault of the AFL for allowing the game to be played at your home ground.
Be gone with your pesky facts, let the little fella rant about poor old hard done by Geelong*Your club returned most of the seats that were part of the sept 4 final sale. Even with tigs coding as cats, your allocation wasnt fully used
Is that it? They're bitching about a 40 minute train ride? Lol I live at the foot of the Dandenongs, it takes me 40 minutes to train to Richmond.Lol shanty town mentaliry. Its only 40 minutes by train away!

No they were chanting "ROOOOO" because his name is Riewoldt and that's his nicknameStrategic booing is boring and classless. It is partly to blame for the abhorrent umpiring in recent years and led to at least one great player walking away from the game ...
But it will keep happening.
You do realize you wouldnt have dominated attendances at cat park? Members sales would be split between the two clubs, and rfc supporters do travel for finals (even for the 6383 day trek to geelong).

And past it....Maybe Goodesy retired because he was, you know, nearly 36?
Optimism alive and well!If we can all discuss the topic without being childish in reply, that would be appreciated.

Yep same here in vic and maybe other things were a factor that contributed to an explosion. ( Richmond looking a genuine contender for the first time in awhile, Geelong's record against tigers and the justified gripes that Richmond people felt because they had to play k park when others didn't). It was confronting I have to admit but I can appreciate it in hindsight. It was great theatre. And by half time we had stopped bickering with the Richmond fans surrounding us and ended up having pleasant exchanges for the second half. So it was all good. And I'll be ready for it next time and already looking forward to our next meeting.first time ive seen it like this in vic - it was more like a wce or crows game, where one fan base so dominates the other and uses that in full voice.
Fwiw i dont think it will happen again against the cats, i suspect cat numbers will be a lot higher next time around - making it a more evenly split crowd

People will give us a lot of shit anyway. People have been giving us shit for 35 years. If we win it all this year, I hope people are prepared to receive it 10 fold back from usIts fine, but it makes your supporters look classless. And considering the reports of abuse and aggression in the crowd, it stacks up to make your supporters look like poor sports and will lead to people giving your fans a lot of shit if you lose in the Prelim or GF. So you basically have to hope you win or you will cop it.
Exactly.Just like the majority of your finals, ever?
You didn't like that it wasn't scheduled at the ground you've played one finals game at, which you lost ?I like it. What I didn't like is where the game was scheduled.
But it is what it is
To balance the ledger, I cheered the giant rabbit that plays electric guitar outside Jolimont station on the way out.

I wouldn't take my kids to a game at Geelong for the same reasons.I didn't care but I questioned myself why I didn't see it coming.
When Richmond ran out I sang along quietly to the song as I do for a few sides. I used to boo a bit when necessary and get a bit more aggressive at the footy but society has basically taught us not to be so OTT and tone it down.
When Geelong ran out I was surprised but also enjoyed the fact it was ON. I should have been more vocal against the tigers as they ran out and my cheering for goals would have been louder than usual except we didn't kick one for an hour lol and was frustrated by that time.
It would be awesome to find form and play them in the grand final. Their supporters have set the standard and I'm happy to oblige.
Wouldn't take my kids to a Richmond game though, far too feral and dangerous on the grog they are!
The most classless were supporters I've experienced this year were Geelong at Simonds.I'm saying it wasn't fair that at our home game 80,000 classless 'supporters' booed our players as they ran out onto the ground.
Yes but they were allowed to as it's their home game at their local ground. Get over it.The most classless were supporters I've experienced this year were Geelong at Simonds.
Some of the vitriol that I heard that day was a disgrace.
The MCG was transformed into a Zoo on Friday night, Richmond supporters behaved like animals. The most classless were supporters I've experienced this year were Geelong at Simonds.

Richmond social media cheated Geelong fans out of a ticket by encouraging their supporters to take up our allocation. Can someone explain how the ticket allocation works? How did Richmond outnumber geelong so heavily? Like seriously it was 75,000 to 20,000 an Geelong was the home team, so how do the ticket sales work?
