If GWS make the GF it becomes redundant for a GF parade through the streets of Melbourne. One day when two teams from WA or SA or NSW get to the same GF its going to be a joke to have a parade in Melbourne.

If we had a Port vs Adelaide GF im pretty certain it would be more appropriate to have it here.Holiday in Melbourne. Visitors always welcome. Imagine there will be a strong Adelaide representation
Odd thread for an Adelaide supporter. Your team just made the GF and you want to kill off a GF week tradition.
Interstate supporters are allowed to enter Victoria. It's not North Korea.

All part of the atmosphere of Grand Final weekIf we had a Port vs Adelaide GF im pretty certain it would be more appropriate to have it here.
Even if ten thousand supporters from SA went to Melb for the GF it still is a VFL relic.
Yeah, play it at Spotless. The atmosphere would be electric. It's time to move the grand final from Melbourne if no Melbourne teams are playing
Wouldn't lock out any GWS supporters either, perfect!Yeah, play it at Spotless. The atmosphere would be electric.
That's knucklehead. If you're going to insult me then at least spell it correctly.Actually, this year Adelaide would have won the right to host it, nucklehead.
I'm sure they'd have a parade in Adelaide as well if that was the case.If we had a Port vs Adelaide GF im pretty certain it would be more appropriate to have it here.

I'm actually all for the game being shared around as long as the stadiums are 80k+ the new Perth stadium could probably put forward a good case in the futureIt's time to move the grand final from Melbourne if no Melbourne teams are playing
Not really. Take out those MCC bludgers and most capitals have a stadium with the same capacity.I'm actually all for the game being shared around as long as the stadiums are 80k+ the new Perth stadium could probably put forward a good case in the future

GF day is really more a Corporate day anyway - have heard supporters of both teams playing in GF that they can't get enough tickets for their supporters which is why the prelims are far better from a supporters point of view. Even though being played at the G I'm sure there will be some disappointed Richmond supporters should they make the GF. Aren't tickets for both opposing teams supposed to be the same allocation for each Club? I know of some that go to a GF every year whether the team they support is playing or not so obviously there are tickets available for all Clubs. If we had a Port vs Adelaide GF im pretty certain it would be more appropriate to have it here.
