Where to even start with this article?
The Tigers played well all year, it was only really what we'd all seen from the Tigers in the past that was stopping us from rating them highly. They finished 3rd on the ladder but very easily could have been top if not for a couple of poor four quarter performances that cost them games.
If anything I think it's a great thing that we've now got teams winning flags that are a bit of a surprise packet. Surely after seeing Brisbane, Geelong and Hawthorn win 9 flags in a 14 year period it's a good thing that the expected premiers aren't winning every year.
The finals stunk from a competitive point of view but the home and away season was a cracker.
I think myself and others may have underestimated how equal the AFL is right now. The GWS threat seems miles off being a juggernaut, we've got teams that haven't won for years winning flags and a number of young teams looking to rise up the ladder in the coming seasons.
