Going to put people on ignore if they say "Wines" and "trade" in the same sentence from now on.

Epic
I would never trade WinesGoing to put people on ignore if they say "Wines" and "trade" in the same sentence from now on.

Don't shoot the messenger. These were the words Janus used:‘Best 22 player’ lol. Nice broad label. Dustin Martin and Sam Gray are both ‘best 22 players’ but I somehow doubt they’d have similar worth on the trade table.
You're talking about a Pick 7 who is 22 years old, starting 22 and an integral part of our list with 100 games experience, playing one of the hardest positions on the ground. Plus he's contracted and has absolutely no links to Gold Coast.

Do you know if he is contracted Arsene?Heard a whisper we have enquired about Tim O’Brien if Impey is to go to hawthorn ... could be BS but just sharing what I heard ....

Let's do a like for like comparison:
Ollie Wines
Dion Prestia
- 2013 pick 7
- 22 years old
- Best 22 player
- Plays as an inside midfielder
- Played 107 AFL games
- Contracted
Pretty similar with the exception of the contractual situation. Player worth based on ability is subjective and the role each individual plays varies based on the players around them and team structure so all you can really do to show concrete evidence in terms of ability is point to statistics. I can't be bothered actually going through it but I think both averaged a little over 25 disposals a game in 2016 (Prestia) and 2017 (Wines). I'm sure Ollie was better in most areas but I don't think the gap is as large as you're making it out to be.
- 2010 pick 9
- 23 years old (when traded)
- Best 22 player (when traded)
- Played as an inside midfielder (when traded)
- Played 95 AFL games (when traded)
- Uncontracted
They (Young and Ah Chee) have? They've been offered contracts so they have to be traded for.
Oh ok that means he would want to return to Adelaide really badly to want to void it then.Extended very recently for two years I think.
All good mate. It is 2 years recently. I remember him having good aggression in his game from the little i have seen of him.No idea mate. Just saying what I heard this Arvo - like I said prob bollocks, but he’s a good young prospect

I'm very firm in my belief that Wines is the better of the two but I think Prestia is being a bit underrated here. He was a top 5 player in the GF this year and had many exceptional games for the Suns.Get the **** out of here
If you think Prestia is even remotely close to as good a player as wines is then you wouldn't know the difference between a football and the foot that should be in your ass
Patton to Ports?

It used to be Rooch versus an army of ambassadors. Now Rooch has a partner in shit stirringThe hatchet job Korner and Rooch are doing is magnificent.
If we got O'Brien, we probably wouldnt go after Watts (perhaps we're chasing him now as Watts has indicated he wont come to Port).
I could imagine Impey being involved, and perhaps we'd give them our 2nd round pick next year for their (2nd or 3rd rounder) pick this year.
A key position player is worth more than a quick but flakey hff who cant kick.? For obrien ? He would be a straight swap for impey. Absolutely no reason we would have to give up anything extra.
Wonder if our interest in O'Brien is contingent on Watts, or if we'd be happy to get both of them.
A key position player is worth more than a quick but flakey hff who cant kick.
If that were to happen, what would be a likely trade for Impey other than O'Brien IYO?My call is back up plan.
I reckon we get Watts.
Agree. My call is back up plan.

O'Brien hasn't set the world on fire, although he has potential.A key position player is worth more than a quick but flakey hff who cant kick.
