To be fair, Rockliff was in talks with us months ago so had a fair bit of time to consider this. From what I've read Watts only found out about his situation during his exit interview, so we likely would have initiated contact only a week or so ago. He seems like he's been in his comfort zone bubble his whole life, so it's probably one of the first major life decisions he's actually had to make for himself.

How the **** should I know? You made out like Impey went against Trengove's wishes to have him as a teammate rather than the simple explanation that Hawthorn wanted him and the Dogs didn't. Not every Victorian club wanted him but Clarkson was obviously interested.

But motlop has gone from one suiter to four in the space of two finals.

His choice has changed from:

To:

"Go to port where i'm wanted, or adelaide where i'll get paid more and still get to be closer to family, or gold coast, piss away my career but make bulk dollarydoos, or forgive geelong and stay where i am"

Still a major life decision that requires consideration.

2015 draft - 4 free agents and 34 trades.
2016 draft - 4 free agents and 39 trades.
The free agent numbers do not include delisted free agents.

With 3 days to the end of the free agent period and 7 days to the end of the trade period there are two free agents and three trades completed. Expect some pretty frenzied action in the last week as there are quite a few trades that have been mentioned but are still to go down.
