Hows the thread on the tingle board

The Re-South Australianisation of the Adelaide Crows

lol they just don't get it do they

I guess they won’t mind when Sloane leaves then. All part of the plan.

The Re-SouthAustralianisation of the Adelaide Crows - scrambling back in time up their rabbit-hole to ‘safe’ ground where they will eventually and deservedly shrivel.

Meanwhile the Port Adelaide Football Club are heads down bum up enacting an Internationalisation.
We cannot afford to look back, let alone backtrack. If we do we’re dead.
What a helluva challenge.
What a helluva contrast.

Make a solid financial case for Adelaide Oval or the new Perth stadium hosting the grand final then.

Of course money is a factor. It’s a very big factor.

I thought I posted the following before but oh well, the MCG should be like our Wembley. A new boutique stadium built for the teams using it as a home ground, and during the season every club gets a game on the MCG.

The AFL Grand Final is become the biggest sporting event in the country, it’s an institution of the Australian sporting landscape.
Trying to change it and fiddle with it is just jealousy and the typical South Australian mentality towards Victoria. Let it go guys, we aren’t a rival to them any longer, we aren’t even relevant as a state or city lol

Do you understand the AFL and MCC grand final ticket member allocation system? Do you know where the vast majority of those members reside and the clubs they support?

Do you understand that 100,000 multiplied by 200 is the same as 55,000 multiplied by 360?

If the MCG was like Wembley then it wouldn’t be the home ground of Collingwood Melbourne and Hawthorn (Do not mention Tottenham as a counter argument).

Funny...was having dinner with some friends a couple of nights ago, one an ex SA politician, who said as much when we were discussing whether to do the Shanghai trip next year or the following when more members of our group could make it. They said they have no doubt that Shanghai will definitely happen again in 2019 as Port will and must forge ahead with the China strategy. Of course the Shanghai games are not the be all and end all but in their opinion to stop the China games after next year would damage all the work we have done in relationship building and the ground we have made.

And as for the criers becoming all South Australian again, well let 'em. They are a nervous bunch down at the swamp and it allows them to put their heads in the sand and avoid focusing on any cultural issues they might have. Long live Tex. :).

South Australianisation, lurking lurkers, Truro, Jamestown, same same.
Edit: forgot 1976 earthquake and tidal wave

Mum and Dad had booked a table at Windy Point on that day. The number of people driving or hitchhiking to higher ground was incredible. We gave a lift to a young student with a backpack, although it could just have been coincidence he was leaving Adelaide that day.

That thread is certainly delivering atm

I've checked it there. Rivalries are great, aren't they? Still, I was a bit disappointed. There is no South-Australization with SIX players out of 44. I was expecting an Athletic Bilbao, full Basque, kind of thing. It would be awesome!
