I was going to say the same thing but I think the issue is that Trump changes his mind and lies so much that his own supporters are utterly confused and don't know their right from their left any longer.
It's like how Trump demonizes the Democrats for abandoning the dreamers yet he's the one who put them in the position they're in the first place.
