Football coach made kill threat

A COUNTRY football coach could face jail after pleading guilty to making threats to kill one of his former players.

Former Torquay Football Club coach Adam Skrobalak, 27, could be jailed for up to two years after admitting threatening to kill Brodie Marston, a reserves player at the club.

Skrobalak was sacked as Torquay's coach after charges were laid last year, and has since been appointed coach of the East Geelong Football Club.

He appeared in the Geelong Magistrates' Court on Tuesday where he pleaded guilty to one charge of making a threat to kill.

Police alleged Skrobalak left two threatening voice messages on Mr Marston's mobile phone on October 1 after Mr Marston had been in a fight with Skrobalak's brother. Skrobalak allegedly later sent two threatening text messages to Mr Marston.

But we definitely need players who play with a more of an aggressive attitude or mongrel but I dont condone those actions.

Believe it or not JB is an introverted style of player. He is the type of player who would benefit from having players like Hamill playing around him.

Yes for Sloane, no for Gaff. Put Coff or Brandon White on a wing rather than pay through the nose for Gaff.

Let's just say it was dropped... it would be fair to say that many in the geelong region are shit scared of the bloke. following year while he was coaching east geelong a player was belted by his teammate in the premiership celebrations and died.

The bit i don't get is he was a gdfl forward who coaches afl rucks and doesn't fit the "good character" mould that we seem so hell bent on applying to our footballers. If our rucks were developing well it probably wouldn't rate a mention.

Serious question, I just can’t understand how it could be a full time job.

Yes for Sloane, no for Gaff. Put Coff or Brandon White on a wing rather than pay through the nose for Gaff.

Gaff is a free agent so he’d free trade wise if WC didn’t match.

I couldn't believe it. In an era where IP is e everything. Crazy still he then went full time with west coast only. Imagine that happening with us with say Melbourne only for the coach to go full time with them. We would be ropeable.

Yet clubs can't handle a loan period. Go figure.
