Well it does discredit him as a spinner. The fact you think it doesn't just shows how blinded by hatred you are.

It absolutely does. He's no longer FC relevant. He got taken apart by WA this year, who are the worst players of spin in the country.

I've said that I don't rate him as a FC player. I've also acknowledged that he's had one stellar season in FC cricket. I see him similarly to a Mark Baguley. Had his time, and was good then, but has been on the decline since and no longer worthy of selection.

But when will you admit that you're blinded by hatred for me? You only ever seem to pop up here whenever I say something you want to fight about.

I just vehemently disagree with your insistence on youth. If this youth was so good it'd have pushed some senior players aside by now.

Short, Harper, Coleman, Grimwade etc so far have shown they aren't good enough to do that.
If that remains then I will continue to support the selection of White, Christian and Siddle. Integrity of selection is far more important than playing youth that could one day play for Australia, if they're gifted games now then how can we expect them to reach International standard later. It must be earned.

Yeah okay. Christian will no doubt get a gig round 1 despite averaging 28 this year with the bat and one solitary 50 whilst averaging 52 with the ball.

Let's just hope Pucovski can get a game round 1.

Hope CV stick with this. The odd guy who has shown the skill to take it to the next level (futures > FC) may be allowed a game but none of this 'gifting' games.

Victoria never develop our own, hence very little international representatives. Make these kids take their chance when they earn it.

Hm. Sutherland I'm not convinced about his batting abilities yet (his bowling is damn good) and as much as I've liked what he's done at the lower levels, Short failed to capitalize on his opportunities in the Shield.

Honestly, if I were CV, I'd be telling Maddinson "We won't offer you a contract, but if you come down, do pre-season with us and work hard, we'll play you in the Matador's. After that you have to impress us in Grade Cricket and Futures League to get a spot in the Shield." Make him work for it. There's no denying his talent. If he can work his way up he's worthy of a place.
