And quite rightly too !!

When we have our absolute best on the park and cop a flogging of this magnitude then you have merit in questioning the attitudes but until then..... cool your jets.

Injuries are only an excuse to a certain extent, they don't exempt all forms of criticism and areas of concern.

How bad would we have been today if:

Docherty replaced Garlett
Williamson replaced Mullett
Ed replaced Graham
Marchbank replaced O'Shea
Weitering replaced Rowe
Charlie replaced Kerr
Pickett replaced Wright
Cuningham replaced Kerridge
Kennedy replaced Lamb
Byrne replaced Thomas

Murphy wasn't injured

and Dow SPS O'Brien McKay Garlett Lang Fisher had 50 games under them

remembering that most I have mentioned coming in have a lot of upside as well. There is so much upside in this side it's not funny. Unfortunately peoples frustration, lack of vision and need to vent (or just plain negativity) is getting in the way of any logical discussion

Today was awful and shouldn't be tolerated but there are reasons and a genuine pathway back to the top. Much better than we have had for the past 15 years or more

the proof is in the pudding, that's why they hand out those spoons.

You my friend are the worst kind of troll!

You lay the boots into the team you say you support.
No posts since may 4 before laying the boots in again ONLY AFTER A LOSS. Not 1 to say well done last weekend...

Its negativity like yours which ruins sensible conversations and makes an enjoyable place become hard to bare. You have an agenda and you don't listen to anyone.

TROLL!

Hearing that some Carlton people are getting concerned. Also hearing from a good sauce that talked to a young player that the group is struggling to understand Bolts and is switching off. Still in the Bolts camp, but concerned.
Hearing that some Carlton people are getting concerned that some Carlton people who are concerned when we lose are excited when we win but only discuss their concerns and not their excitement.

Only 2 changes from last week's team.

The intensity and attitude was all wrong after they started gaining momentum in the second quarter, they buried us.

Surely, you can't expect supporters to be happy and positive after that, when we know they're capable of so much more.

If today wasn't enough to convince you we have much more serious issues as Jeff Probst says, " blue tribe, sorry I've got nothing for you"

You are right on one thing, you have nothing.

By the way, missed your input last week, it was a great win

With what we put on the park today and who we played that's debatable

Finally common sense.

So you are saying the club is exempt from criticism this year ?

Kerridge best on ?
Do you support Nunawading in the EFL by any chance ?
Your expectations are at an all-time low mate.
He was bloody atrocious in every way , don't even want to discuss him.
Loving McKay and Dow.
Look at kedges stats!!!He was rated equal 3rd in the foxtel player rankings for us!!

Our situation is more precarious than most, but when does any team ever have their best 22 on the park?

Last week the club, coach & players were in fine shape & everyone was excited about the future. One week later and the gates of hell have opened & are awaiting our imminent arrival.

FFS, can we have some perspective & consistency in opinions around here ??

We have not played one game yet this year with our absolute best line-up on the park whilst today we had a virtual novice forward-line on display.

The Demons are at least three years ahead of us in the rebuild & development stakes so just take from todays game what we should be like in three years time.

After getting demolished by the Demons, LordLucifer, there are signs that are pointing to that.

I worry immensely about next year even.. Murphy, Simpson, Rowe are declining... (some may say Simpson isn't but he's lost a bit the last 18 months and by end of year who knows how much he might decline by).

I'm sorry I can't fathom one reason why O'Shea is even in the side... not even as a mature body cuts it. I know that we try to improve a player by increasing their KPI's as they go in order to get a game. I suspect O'Shea started the season at 100 fumbles/stuff-ups/ill-directed passes a game, and now his KPI's is at 90 so he keeps his place.

Garlett is another of the Yarran/Garlett mould.. no passion, doesn't use his pace.

Still laugh at Murphy trying to tackle... can't do it to save himself... just reaches out one mitt and tries to grab the player inevidably missing. But then our tackling across the board stinks as do our kick outs (hopeless).
couldn't carry yarran's bag

Again, you have to be very careful with such a knee jerk reaction. Look at St.kilda....paying a huge price because they have lost some heavy duty experienced players. We gave away Holman in a knee jerk reaction and he has become one of the best taggers. We gave away Robinson who was as hard at the ball as any player, and we desperately need a player like that, and gifted Garlett to Melbourne and we have never been able to replace them. Yet we wasted 7 years on Warnock. We have been our worst own enemy. Thank fully we reinvented Jones and Ed Curnow. One thing we have to do is make some calls on the big blokes. We have far too many. We have not been the same since we lost Pickett. He gave us something special and the confidence to run and carry the ball.
seriously, these retro-trade musings achieve ****all.........
