Autopsy Rd 9 Belted by a ton ... few positives

Yes he was, but I'd argue what's the point of winning a contested possession, only to turn it over going inside 50? He had the most entries (based on what I can recall) and not sure how many were effective but I doubt many were. I'd rate his game as decent but like I said definitely nowhere near Cripps.

A world away from Cripps. Got my second best though. May be an indictment on the rest of our team however.

Perspective.

5 of our 9 games have been against current top 8 teams including all the top 4 and our next two are away games against more top 8 teams.

We haven't had a soft draw at all.

Just as importantly given our predicament, Our remaining draw is against top 17 teams and I just don’t know how we’re going to overcome those odds.

Was good last week too
nicky's problem right now is he's a week to week prospect and as soon as the likes of cuners and willo come back he may be in strife

Reckon we're out of finals contention, double chance gone for sure.

Ok ok ok... I know rebuild this, reset that, but....

FMD 109 points. That’s not acceptable. There needs to be some ass whipping this week across the club. The amount of goals from turnovers was disgraceful.. It’s 1 game and a drop in the ocean, but as a club it cant be accepted.

Plenty of water to go under the bridge still in the rebuild, but we need to be better than that and respond. No point dissecting it too much, we all know where we are at.

all i remember is him constantly kicking it to the opposition

That's because, like many others, it is all you're looking for.

When you watch a player with a "once a deckchair always a deckchair" view it's a lay down misere that all you will see is the errors that player makes.

Sort of your personal version of the Pygmalion Concept.

Graham career best game according to champion data. Melksham had 40 data points which is ridiculous. Daylight. Then McDonald (barbazza is gonna go off his **** on the Carlton show) and Gawn. Then Cripps and graham. Then another 12 Melbourne players beforevanother Carlton one.

Kruezer can’t jump. He’s week on week off at the moment. 6 day break into Geelong is going to kill us. I expect another 80-100 point flogging. I’m thinking 60+ into most goals Hawkins and 30+ disposals Dangerfield. Should pay a pretty penny. My consolidation prize today was having a bit on Melksham for first goal. I also had lamb who kicked the second coincidently. I took melb 40-59 (how wrong was I). 100+ was like 23-1.
you make me want to puke betting against your own club.

After the pitiful performance against the Bombers the only guarantee is that at home the Cats are going to be looking for atonement.

This will go close to 100 point defeat again is my view, when you add in 6 day break and the fact we’re just crap.
why do you even bother coming here?

Please stop telling me what I'm looking for. FFS

After 64 games the data is there. He's not a kid. He does things that can't be part of a good side

Could i get a quick recap on the game? Didn't get to see it. What exactly went wrong for us?

Aside from "we were shit". I mean specifically what didn't work for us

Kind of got what we expected with Graham and Kerridge playing as almost frontline mids: a heap of touches, some silly skill errors and a couple of poor decisions. I thought on the whole they were both pretty good given their limitations. You hardly want the ball in their hands 25 times a game though.

Understated, but Lamb kept Hibberd to 12 touches. Tiny win there.

That Melbourne list is seriously bubbling with talent though. Got so many clever, nimble, creative players with decent footskills but wont take a backward step either. Guys like Fritsch, Neal-Bullen, Salem, Hannan and Spargo etc

I'm not going deeper here but we'll wait and see just how our rebuild goes when the kids you are so enthusiastic about get 64 games behind them.

Remember that data suggests that only a smidge over 1 in 3 draft picks go on to play 10 years.

Anyone else feel as though the autopsy thread should be locked for 24 hours after losses in general. I understand having high emotions after these games but sometimes I think more harm comes from immediate responses.

So true.

In 24 hours my seething will have calmed all the way down to brooding...
