Terrific signing given the price tag.. Adds some great depth to the bench, something we've been craving for for a while now.

I'm on record saying that I want any one labelled some variant of Messi but this guy has the added bonus of being known as "The Power Cube" at Bayern. It's a good signing just for that alone.

Get Fekir/Alisson in and we'd be looking at this

Mane/Ox Firmino/Sturridge/Solanke Salah/Shaqiri
Keita/Wijnaldum Henderson/Fabinho Fekir/Lallana
Robertson/Milner VVD/Klavan Lovren/Matip TAA/Clyne
Alisson/Karius

Best we've looked for a loooong time

Is a Power Cube related to the Nissan Cube?

Look at him back when he was at Bayern, hard running hard working player with loads of ability on the ball. Can't play for Heyneckes without being able to run your balls off. Far less muscle mass back then, too. Jurg was at Dortmund, he'd have known everything about him. He knows what he's signing, if he can get Shaq back to that we're signing a gem.

People call him lazy but no one runs in a Mark Hughes side

Talksport this morning (evening over there). Host said Shaq is a loser for joining cause he wont play much.
So what does that make all the players for manu, chelsea, city?

The difference between us taking the next step has been squad depth .. Shaqiri would be at least a used sub in every game and start the games against lower clubs or cover for an injury or rest.. will get plenty of minutes in champs league and cup games as well

It’s a good move for him and us !

The 2 main things I noticed from the first half of the Bury game: Curtis Jones was very impressive with his dribbling and passing.

Moreno good when attacking but awful at the back. had a terrible back pass to Karius that almost ended up as a Bury goal.

2nd half team was

Woodburn-Solanke-Camacho
Keita-Chirivella-Lallana
Robertson-Klavan-Phillips-Gomez
Karius

Grabara came on in the 60th min for Karius. Kent didn't play. Was a pretty poor 2nd half, Bury almost scored but was ruled offside.
