I dont think there are many players in the AFL who throw themselves at the contest as hard as Anderson. Looks like he loves the contact and wants to physically intimidate the opposition every chance he gets.

In reality, probably never going to be a superstar (happy to be proven wrong) but definitely an important midfielder due to the toughness.

What can’t be understated is the importance for him to start hitting the score board and hurting teams when he has the ball.

His form has completely eradicated the past. Now it’s transitioning into a quality midfielder that can pick up the slack when the likes of Higgins and Ahern are off. He’s starting to take shots at goal and looks a lot more comfortable in front of the sticks. I’m genuinely excited and eager to watch his career from now. A side note- love the relationship with himself and cunners (and Simpkin the younger gen), great person/footballer to model his game and his life.

How good is he in close under duress. Might not be a bull like cunners, but my goodness he can extract the footy.

Developing an incredible midfield.

Going by his statistical output, he already has transitioned into a quality midfielder.

IMO - I'm pretty sure that we have to cover HIS output when he is off - he has a very interesting blend of outside run and linkup with a cunners 'like' level of extracting the hard ball get (I say 'like', because they do it very differently - cunners has more time because he is so strong and able to fend off the tackle, jed is just quicker with his body and hands when tackled).

The tackle Jed does from behind, where he just “splats” the opposition player and tends to looks like he’s going to give up a free, but doesn’t, is his trademark. The “Jedsplat”!

Take out the first Brisbane game where he got injured in the first five minutes, and he has had 20+ in 12 of his last 14 games (getting 15 and 19 touches in the other two). For a guy who is in his first season as a full time mid, he is remarkably consistent.
