Seems we may not have enough picks to trade, if we keep pick 1, to facilitate trades for Shiel, Setterfield, McGovern, Brodie... (assume they all nominate us).. so which players would be likely and have currency to help get deals across line?

Very happy to get McGovern in obviously, a few of our supporters don't watch most games.

Has improved every year across his 47 games, similar formlines to Charlies across his 46 games albeit younger and in a struggling side. Sure he may never be as good as Curnow but he will be a very valuable player and set a standard of forward pressure which we lack. Sky's the limit with him.

After losing our whole forward line post Ratten you'd think we would be excited to get in a promising key position player for most likely a pick around 19.

If GC gave us pick 2 for McKay, we draft Walsh/Lukosius/Rankine; what have we really achieved? Nothing imo. So why would you trade a 20 year old KPF that has all the modern attributes to succeed?

I dont think any player knows anything for sure until trade week. Who knows what list managers are thinking?

I think the fact that McGovern can play both ends gives him huge value to our team... can compliment Curnow / McKay up one end, and Marchbank / Weitering up the other.

Was just on the Cats board taking a look when I noticed one of the posters ask what it would take to get Harry McKay from us. Apparently a second rounder should be enough for a young KPF.

If he kicks 40 goals next year as a 21yo, I would say top 3 pick or two mid first rounders.

Something clicked for him after being booted back to the twos. He looks the complete package and the fact that he didnt really sulk but came back better than ever shows he has champion potential.
