Yep. Good observation.

Cultural impact?!?

1000 sweaty bros in a Big Day Out moshpit screaming "F**K YOU I WON'T DO WHATCHA TELL ME!!"

:rolleyes::thumbsu:

Let it go, man.
I refuse.

Good day sir.

I can just imagine your surprise ;)
Not at all mate. I just vote for what I like, and it was goooooood.

You can't whore every round,it gets too predictable.

Flawless:

Flawless is an adjective that means "without any imperfections," like your flawless vocal performance — not one mistake. In flawless you can see the word flaw, which means "a fault." So something that is flawless is free of faults, perfect.

Submit a song with a flawless performance. Vocals, guitar, triangle, whatever Eg:

John Hedigan's performance in this clip is flawless.

Please provide an explanation and good luck

Should have 1 Billy.

5. Slade
4. Chamber Brothers
3. Chicago
2. Appleseed
1. CCR

Billy: Beastie Boys

How did that pile of shit win?

5. Talking Heads - Once In A Lifetime
4. Loverboy - Working For The Weekend
3. The Appleseed Cast - Mile Marker
2. Santana - Oye Como Va
1. Slade - Banging Man

BM - Beastie Boy - Hey Ladies

Got my BM too - it was shocking. Cowbells and woodblocks definitely aren't my taste in music, some of those songs were horrendous. Others were better, especially Once In A Lifetime, quite liked that one. Looking forward to the next contest - shocking nice work hosting JoshWoodenSpoon

5. Nevertheless
4. Good Times Bad Times
3. Raina
2. I'm a Man
1. Mississippi Queen

HM: The Who, The Chambers Brothers, Talking Heads, Slade, CCR

Billy: House of Jealous Lovers

The Perfect Kiss – I love New Order but this isn’t their best work, mostly due to Summer’s vocals being a bit overstretched.

Hey Ladies – **** Beastie Boys, a bunch of overrated frat boys, I have no idea how anyone can enjoy their whiny rapping. Billy contender for sure. SHOULD'VE ****ING BILLIED THIS PILE OF SHIT

Nevertheless – I like this but it’s kinda hard to describe why. Is it the soft guitars backed up by Newcombe’s dreary vocals which blend together well? I think it is.

House of Jealous Lovers – A generic beat backed up by awful screaming. ****, I almost cracked up laughing at some points. Awful. BILLY.

Magic Bus – A streetwalker but a good one. Cleansed my ears nicely after that previous abomination.

Raina – I said that at times only 70s Ethiopian Psychedelic Jazz would suffice. I was close, this is 60s Ethiopian Psychedelic Jazz. Smooth stuff, love the blend of instruments including the cowbell (maybe some woodblocks too?)

Who Needs You – Honestly, aside from Freddie’s vocals, this song doesn’t have a lot going on. It’s a bit boring.

Oye Como Va – Mine. Went down the route of early Santana. He sold himself out with Smooth by collaborating with flavour of the month pop stars but this is a timely reminder of how good he could be. One of the GOAT guitarists.

Time Has Come Today – Would’ve preferred the full 11 minutes (although I can see why the nommer chose the shorter version due to the short-attention spans of this contest). Still, a perfect blend of soul and psych rock.

Deixa a gira girar - That’s an atrocious album cover. As for the song, it didn’t start well but it did improve a little once the Latin beat kicked in. It’s still not enough for votes though.

Once in a Lifetime – A classic but a previous winner.

Mile Marker - Forgettable

Working for the Weekend – Catchy, but I’m not convinced this has aged particularly well.

I’m a Man – Man, what became of Chicago? This is a great cover of Steve Winwood and the Spencer Davis’ Group blues rock jam, including a drum solo! Unfortunately, it’s not quite 10 minutes so it doesn’t fit General Soreness’ 10 minute drum solo theme. Still, to go from this to You’re the Inspiration is just a sad decline.

Your Life is a Lie – All the time, I was hoping this would build into something because it off starts promisingly. Unfortunately, aside from a small 10 second solo from 1:09 to 1:19, it doesn’t really go anywhere. Disappointing.

Concrete and Clay – Not bad, but there’s nothing special about it.

Killing in the Name – Not only a previous winner but a previous dual winner. Just blacklist this song from the contest already.

The Bangin’ Man – Were Slade going more mainstream with this? Still good though, compiled with a great lead guitar and Noddy’s raspy vocals.

Stupid Preoccupations – Without sounding too mean, I’m not a huge fan of his voice.

Master’s Hands – Love a bit of Charlotte, but this is so-so.

Good Times Bad Times – Yet another streetwalker but, again, a good one. Love Page’s opening riff.

U Mass – I gave this votes last time courtesy of a weak playlist. It’ll fall short this time, Pixies have better songs.

The Trees – I can appreciate Rush… I just can’t really get into them for some reason.

Born on the Bayou – CCR have some good songs, and this is one of them.

Mississippi Queen – Pretty good. Pretty, pretty, pretty good.

You're not meant to praise him. You're meant to call him the #worsthostever. He missed two billies FFS.
