First of all, thank you to everyone who was able to get a nomination in despite the forum upgrades and the public holidays (and my excessive cricket-watching and sleeping habits). Also, the well-wishes for my first time hosting have been much appreciated, thanks for the support folks. Now, down to business

I agreeI wouldn't call them mostly familiar, there's plenty of songs that have hardly been nominated or heard at all. And it's a busy time of year for people, a little extra time isn't going to hurt
. I also like the extra time because it will help us get back to the more usual Monday to Wednesday and Thursday to Sunday timeslots after the next round. There's, at most, 45 minutes of music that people may not have heard before. Nobody's too busy to get through that in a day or two.I wouldn't call them mostly familiar, there's plenty of songs that have hardly been nominated or heard at all. I wonder if whoever nommed it is a LiarUPDATE
Liar - Eskimo Joe is ineligible

I wonder if whoever nommed it is a Liar![]()
. The entrant submitted Liar, realised that it was ineligible and updated their selection within the nomination period. The mistake is 100% my fault, I failed to update my spreadsheet when the entrant re-submitted, and then added the songs from the spreadsheet to the playlist. My bad, sorry folks2000 is absolutely part of the 20th century. It all comes down to the name of the theme. If it was called "1900s Australia" then it would be a lot more controversial given the 1900s is the name for the period of 1900-1999 as opposed to the 20th century which ran from 1901-2000. Much like how the 60s is a term for 1960-1969.Roll On is controversial. Released in 2000. FWIW, I agree that 2000 was the last year of the 20th century.
Join the clubThe only reason I don't like 2000 being considered 20th century is that it means we haven't won a flag this century.
