I actually think a big reason is Frawley's reaction to Ryan's mark.

I assumed they didnt want the focus to be on Willie's shepard or if Sheed played on that 7's commentary had.

Both were fair calls in my books (Willie was grappling for the mark, and Sheed only took a step because of momentum of running back) - but we all know some Eagles haters and pies fanatics don't see it that way - so was smart to use audio that didn't focus on either.

I really liked the way they structured it. 4 players, one player highlighted per quarter of the grand final, starting with the play and ending with the play and the goal.

Really fine editing work.

True. One small criticism is that they have spliced two parts of Whately commentary together to create "West Coast need a miracle". In the final 15 seconds of the game he actually says "Collingwood need a miracle." Yes they're taking creative license but for someone who's watched the reply of those final moments with all the various commentaries about 100 times it does make it a smidge inauthentic - especially when they're claiming to have "never before seen vision and audio". That one moment aside and it's immaculate.

I couldn't remember hearing West Coast needs a miracle in any of the alternate commentaries, so thanks for clearing that up

Regardless of beginnings, Freo have had 23 years to get their sh*t together.
More early draft picks than even Carlton can poke a stick at and continually squander them away with stupid quick-fix trades rather than trying to build the team from within.

The problem now is that they have 23 years of that Freo culture ingrained in the club to deal with. 23 years of crying "poor us" and blaming everything on the Eagles (despite 15 years of being financially propped up by the Eagles WAFC). 23 years of over-paying for trades just to one-up the eagles.

Let them bitch and moan. We'll keep winning flags.
