I think teams might give up the 50 metre penalty.

What I mean by that is unless the opposition player winning the 50 metre is running into free space with no defensive set-up I can see teams letting the opposition player go and rely on a fellow player meeting him at the new mark with 50 metres added so not to risk the 50 metre becoming a 100 metre penalty unnecessarily especially if the team is set up more defensively and has players to defend down the line anyway!!
