We are a club happy to make finals....to keep the members signed up. Im not blaming the players....they must be demoralised watching passionate, skilled footballers rotting in the 2s while aging spuds are gifted games.

We had our chance to win the premiership in 05/06, 2012 and 2017 but weren't good enough. The selection is based on experience since we are facing a very experience Hawks line-up...….mind you if Seedsman/Brown weren't injured, he would be in the SANFL.

If you were to argue that our lack of player retention or our ability to keep players on the park such as last season or our inconceivable stupidity during the Tippet saga then I might agree. But to argue that our lack of success is due to David Mackay is a little overdone.

Greenwood and Gooch are not yet fit enough so couldn't be considered. Fog plays a completely different position than the ones that were available, and I think that Dmac is better than CEY - plus Hawks would cut him to ribbons with his defensive running.
Once Brown and Seed were out, there was no way Dmac wasn't playing. Once seed is ready again and/or Gooch / Greenwood is fit he should go out, but we'll see.

What nonsense, which player that plays back pocket or wing that isn't in the team and is fit, and deserves a spot in the team haven't they picked? If every single player on our list was fit, there would be 3 changes imo, Douglas/Dmac/Jones > Gooch/Brown/Seed. And then people would complain we're not playing Jones.
