I’d have Drew or Bailey Scott as the front runners.

Drew was extremely impressive in a big win over Melbourne (my pick).

Scott had 21 touches at 100% and 2 goals in a massive drubbing.

Honorable mentions to Constable, Taylor, Powell, Walsh and Setterfield

Is Taylor eligible? He won a nom last year. I honestly dont get the rules.

Walsh. Lokusius. Rozee. Smith. Jones. Blakey. Butters. Clark. Duursma. Sparrow. Scott. Parker. Schultz.... what a start for 2018 draft class. Still have the King twins, Rankine, Thomas, Caldwell and Quaynor to play...the 2018 draft will end up being the best of all time. Never thought 2001 would be beaten. This crop will be a joy to watch over the next decade.

Bailey Scott deserves it- 20 disposals @ 90% and 2 goals. He was his team’s best player today. Walsh will probably get it because of his hype

Footywire has him eligible.

Doesn’t matter if he got nominated last year.

Just down to games and age.

What was Walsh’s kicking efficiency like on Friday? I recall him turning it over a fair bit. I was more impressed with Scott and Drew but Walsh will probably get the nod due to reputation.

I saw both the Walsh and Scott games and both were very very impressive and amongst there best players. I'd give it to Scott purely on more damaging disposal but its the toss of a coin really....

Scott had a good game, but no chance of a nomination in a 13 goal smashing

Constable or Drew will get it, although there are a few worthy players
