Clever by Scott to set the narrative at his end of the spectrum. MRO can now agree with him without comeback, which is what they’ll want to do so that danger plays against us. Further, any finding that doesn’t agree with Scott will be ‘absurd’ as he’s already stated his claim as to where the matter sits.

Had he said nothing, the MRO would have had a clean slate & been able to assess the matter on its merits. Geelol & AFL don’t want that.

You really sure we are the club you wanna poach your next coach from? Okay okay there's no doubt Dimma, Bevvo & Simmo have worked out and Fages is tracking nicely, but there's still a chance you'll land another dud like Caaaarlton did with the Oompa Loompa.

Then again if you did would it hurt you much more than having Don Pyke? Adelaide rode a wave of emotion after the death of Phil Walsh the same way Port did post John McCarthy but since that's fizzled out both club's coaches have looked woeful. Caracella is often spoken of as the next assistant likely to land a senior job and I suspect this year a few clubs will vie for his services.

The bad news is the Crows' list looks ready for a mini rebuild, especially the forwardline which is collectively cooked. Losing Cameron & McGovern will hurt immensely and bringing in Gibbs for two first rounders will sting. The good news is you get Carlton's pick 1 this year.
