Youl note in my post I said choice is a component of it, not the whole thing. Again il ask what knowledge you have of human psychological, personality and sexual development theories?

Secondly, thoughts does not equal actions or reality. If in my head I hate someone and think gee I'd love to beat them to death, I'm not a murderer.

Thirdly, homosexuality is linked with identification, behavior and social construct that defines that label, all of which are choices to do.

Finally, in the context of the post which is about sin, homosexuala would be people who act on it, the choice of action is the sin which the post refers to. Liking It has nothing to do with hate of homosexuals, or adulterers, or liars, etc. Its talking about actions that a religion believes to be sins, not who or what someone might hate.

Not going to bother going back and forth with you on if bad people are people too etc. You are just nitpicking, you know what the AFL means when they say all should be included. If you don't then that's not my problem.

As for Ablett - if you only agree with part of a persons comment why would you then like the entire post without commenting on it thereafter. He left a like, meaning he agreed with it, and he didn't feel the need to explain it so it's pretty self evident what happened and how he was thinking at the time. Put two and two together. It's not rocket science. He is an extremely religious guy and he agreed with a post about a bunch of archaic stuff whilst also not feeling a need to explain which parts of the post he agreed with. I think it's obvious enough. He got caught in the act, and retracted it but the damage clearly had been done already.

People aren't stupid mate. There's a reason he was booed every time he touched the ball on Monday. Not just from Hawthorn fans either. Can't just be a select few on here who have it backwards. People can read between the lines, thank goodness.

I don't think your statistic re male v female supports your conclusion of it being a choice. I don't see how.

IF the stat is correct, you are suggesting there cannot be a difference between the male and female population that is not explained by male choices.

The outraged seem to have a conviction he's a homophobe on the back of liking a post. Did no one else see the the other groups in Folau's post? So because it has homosexuality in Folau's post it's safe to assume GAJ is a homophobe right? We can disregard any of the other groups in the post?

Look it's possible that GAJ is homophobic because of his upbringing, but to be convinced he is on a like of a post is very very simplistic and naive. Label him a homophobe all you like but be prepared to be called out not knowing all the facts. ONLY Gaj knows what he's thinking.

Gary's had a pretty horrible upbringing but I don't really want to go into that. I just think that the AFL and football media shouldn't be so defensive over him. I have to laugh that Ablett tells them that he didn't read the entire comment and then unliked it, and that was enough for the AFL to shut up shop on the issue. Bizarre!

In combination the numbers suggest there are far more single gay men than women, which in turn suggests lifestyle choice.

Gaz has been boo’d by most teams, even melbourne last year were booing him, and yes the pies did round 1.

The media need to STFU about this ASAP, it’s really not an issue, they’re making out this Ablett booing is new and on the weekend was the first time, been happening for years. I also, don’t for one second believe it even fazes Ablett, he probably feeds off it as most top players do.

People like to bag Collingwood supporters for their behaviour, quite warranted sometimes.

But Hawks fans can be proud they started the booing of Adam Goodes, now this.

Undoubtedly, it was amplified this weekend due to the social media stuff - how much of that is due to people booing him for liking a tweet is up for discussion.

I'd also point out only the best players get booed.

What are you even talking about. Round 1 is irrelevant. The booing escalated on the weekend. Pretty simple math of why it escalated.

The booing didn’t really escalate much -hawks and pies always boo Ablett from the start of every game. its just those particular supporters expressing their animosity towards someone playing a game of football. Pretty ordinary stuff. Who cares though really-boo away as far as I am concerned. Just don’t kid yourself it’s primarily about those supporters being ‘finer people.’
Ablett made a foolish mistake, he acknowledged that and retracted his ‘like’. Move on.
