Kerr as a ready-to-go KPP should hold a bit more value tooI'd love to see what Teague/Russell could do with Bailey. Am a fan but he's had a poor year.

I get where your coming from but imo if he we're to be brought into the club and it would be on ok coin, so then where do you play him, our list is already top heavy with talls and he wouldn't want to be traded in to play VFL, even playing him as a utility would make us way more imbalanced than we need to be.You don't look a gift horse in the mouth; we even have people questioning father-sons that will probably be taken with late picks. Nothing wrong with depth under the right circumstances, particularly if they end up forcing other players out by way of being better than them, it can only strengthen the side. For a pick in the teens four years ago, of course not! As an unrestricted free agent at the end of the year, why not?
Angst for CarltonNope, there have been murmurings for a while of a split between the playing group and Pyke/Campo.
Agree. Certainly wouldn't begrudge him for leaving. You mean the same club that has paid him below market wages to get his body bashed by three or more defenders every contest for 6 years until we finally managed to draft another tall forward?
The same club that offered him a one year deal with trigger clauses because they thought they had enough young talls to cover every possible scenario?
Loyalty is a two way street, clubs cut players as soon as a potentially better offer comes along. Bit rich to claim a players owes us when we haven’t really backed them in at any stage of their career, while expecting them to play well above where they were drafted.

Posted this in the Bluemour thread but thought might as well pop it in here so we can all wildly speculate.
Possibly related with a few rumours posted earlier in regards to Daisy not being offered a contract for 2020 (and a few media articles around the place saying he is currently in talks with the club), he posted this image on his Instagram story last night....could it be he has been offered a contract but not getting the money he thinks he deserves? btw I'm just spitballing here, could be totally unrelated to his contract talks.

Copped a heavy fine.
Definitely. Players like Simmo - very few - absolutely deserve to go out on their own terms. 300+ gamers and servants of the club over such a long time are few and far between. Even if it goes the way of Roughead at Hawthorn, he'll still retire a champion and legend of the club.Daisy has definitely earned an extra year and if Simmo wants to half reserves half seniors we should let him.
Pick 43 was never going to stop that trade going through when we still had two future 3rds to trade.
I’m glad we went after MM and still very happy we have him (though not on the money he is getting) but in hindsight we probably could’ve done better with those assets.
I don't get the love for Ellis
Thats fine, my point was, we could have got the pick 13 and drafted for need or best available from a strong draft, yet we chose to recruit a medium/tall forward who averages 7 possessions a game and has question marks over commitment and professionalism in a position/area of the ground we have a lot of cover.
Waite still got a 3 yr fairly good money deal from north so we should of at least got something and we didn't
Totally agree. Neither Casboult nor the club owe each other anything. It's been a good relationship that's been beneficial to both parties. You mean the same club that has paid him below market wages to get his body bashed by three or more defenders every contest for 6 years until we finally managed to draft another tall forward?

If only we had some way of seeing how Casboult could perform with the right coach......

One thing that annoys me about the coaches vote is I would love to know how each coach voted.
The Phillips one interests me, was that Teague going, you went above what we where hoping or was it Pyke going, man you stitched up O’Brien, because obviously if you look at the stats Phillips numbers weren’t massive. Just curious, I’d love them to release them by coach
Don't stress. It was obviously a piss-take.Wtf, no we won't. Stuff that.
Not nerdy, I’ve done that tooTotally agree. I have always wanted to know who voted for whom.
Although perhaps it's more mysterious as is; it's not what's revealed, it's what's not revealed....
Small compensation, but I like to go through the votes and work out Player X must have got 4 & 0, Player Y must have got 5 & 2 etc. Also gives me the opportunity to be a nerd (like I need an excuse) with the combinations.

Can see this system being rorted.Anyone who plays 300+ games should not have their moula in the cap.
Not a bad suggestion, maybe a token amount that equals a rookie wage so the club remembers they have the extra player to allow for, the following year.Anyone who plays 300+ games should not have their moula in the cap.
So for this one.Totally agree. I have always wanted to know who voted for whom.
