How come the article suggests Roo would have to give up radio due to the time pressures of being Chairman. It didn't stop Koch, McGuire or Brayshaw.

This is clearly one of our major issues. We’ve got the weasel Chapman, who has NFI about footy, inserting himself into club operations for 2-3 days per week.

Agree but i guarantee you 45k will turn up round 1 with hope in their eyes. Likely by the 3rd quarter that will be dashed. Club only cares about one thing. $$$ Even if crowds did drop to 20k a match they would turn it around and say supporters arent supporting their club and are disloyal. Club believes they are beyond reproach. They are worse than a dictatorship as at least dictatorships can be overthrown.

My guess is the review committee will be chaired by an external person but then the other members will be Ricciuto and Burton. Maybe Saunders.

Crucially, the external person will be someone respected and liked by the public. So when the review comes back all A-ok fans will struggle to get mad at the outcome <beloved SA Football identity> comes up with.

Thoughts on who? Not Wayne Jackson because he has integrity and would actually do it properly.

Not Blight because we couldn't guarantee the outcome. Loose cannon.

Back onto the rumours..... the Riley Knight to Carlton thing seems to be doing the rounds.

Can't see Knight getting a game there myself, wasted games on him this year.

It’s a shame Knight has gone backwards this year. He was involved in most of our wins last season. Can’t help but think he has been thrown all over the place and is now lacking in confidence. I reckon he’ll forge a good career somewhere like Lyons has done.

Both took a poor team, and took them to the minor premiership. Lyon did it in his 4th year, Pyke did it in his 2nd. Both crashed their teams the year after finishing minor premiers. I fail to see any difference in their records.

If you wish to assert that Freo were a bad team, which Lyon turned around, then by the same standard Pyke turned around a poor team in Adelaide.

That isn’t true. Freo made a prelim in 2015 after playing in the 2013 GF. They had 4 good years on the trot. We had 1-1.5

I can't recall you being as prevalent as you are when these discussion topics are going. Nowhere to be seen most of the year.
