Thought we were the better team most of the day.

Said to my boy at three quarter time if we come out trying not to lose we are going to have problems although if we get behind early enough we are going to then try and win it.

How bloody good is it to walk out of Adelaide Oval winning a close game knowing we are now playing for the whole enchilada.

How bloody good is that.

Would be a handy out if they make the g.f his height is a worry.

Yea but if they win through they probably become the Team for all Snaffle Australians in the space of a week.
That will happens to whomever wins next week:
"I'm sorry, South Australia".

Enjoyed the game. Our very young team were talented , passionate and skilful enough to get us over the line , the rules meaning we have to have the top up players meaning Frederick and Pudney had to be replaced by the likes of Strange and Ellsworthy , luckily Corcaron and to a lesser extent Davidson are pretty much up to the level .
Then the umpiring , it really does seem like there’s a directive to not pay borderline free kicks to us while paying borderline ones against us .
But back to the game . It was scrappy but tough and high pressure , plenty of clinches , we seem to have the same problem as the AFL team with the overly inside midfield sor we:re vulnerable against quick and skilled midfields but we touched it out in there Sutcliffe was good , Drew got better as the game went on as did Atley and Trengove , Latham’s and Hayes .
McKenzie was good, Leinert and Garner , Hewitt for all his junkyard style goes pretty hard . Mention to Corcoran for holding up too as a top up player.
Marshall was quite decent , Frampton a bit disappointing again apart from his goal assist of the year .
Cox was important at the end and was robbed of a mark within range about a minute after Glenelg were paid less of a mark and goaled .
Johnson was good ,
Lathams was pretty good , he can turn himself into a small , he’s very good at that just needs to work on playing tall a bit more .
Hayes is quite impressive, still a tad under developed physically but he’s getting there , needs a little bit of work below his knees but positioning, marking , ruckwork are really promising. Look forward to watching him , he’ll probably be ready by mid next year for a run if Lycett or Latham’s is injured .
Farrell and Woodcock were a bit down , Mayes hampered but we did enough as a team to get through to a Grand Final so great effort boys

Take away from the game:
- Peter.*******.ladhams
Trent.*******.McKenzie
Joel.*******.garner

-Marshall exposed Gould athletic wise. Was too quick on the lead for him. Gould is a solid player I really do believe he is a replica of a hodge/maynard type and watching him closely today showed that. Had some shakey first few kicks but can hit those hodge like bullet passes. I initially thought maybe he was a manchild vs boys in the u/18s which is why he did well but he was solid against men today and knows how to use his big body. Led his team in rebound 50s and took most of the kicks outs. Was pretty impressive

-Chad Cornes got around Johnson first before anyone else when they got into the rooms he was elated with his performance

-Drew is built like a brickshithouse solid boy Knows how to use his body. Johnson solid game. Hayes competed really well in the ruck and marked around the ground

-Atley mixed bag, got destroyed by the umps and kicking was still off; over heads or not within reach of reciever.
