There isn't a whole bunch of 40-50 goal a year small forward running around. Maybe 10 max.

Best effort for Melbourne was 40. In terms of pressure and creating goals for those around him he doesn't really come anywhere near the others.

Nothing wrong with that, he's a good forward that kicks goals - but this is a golden age of small forwards who can dominate opposition, and he's not in that category. Hell, even Bruest is not really in that category. But I would include Heeney, despite what the above poster said. He uses his speed, leap and skills to kick goals rather than height and strength.

Possibly, but your guys should have been rubbed out for a game the hits on Ward and Davis last year and were fined. Robbie Gray was very lucky.

How good is this guy? Sure opposition fans love to hate him, but he is a class act.

All-Australian last year, and continued with the form early in 2017. Saw first hand last week how hard he works and it made me appreciate him all the more. Kicked 5 today, but it's the way he always finds the right position, always ready to crumb, strong overhead and elusive on the ground. Such an important member of the Giants and for me, a joy to watch.

Where does he rank in terms of small forwards in the competition?

One of my favourite players at the moment.
Smart, skilful, cheeky.
Any team would love him,

I’m pretty sure he actually totally decapitated him and they had to glue his head back on. It was touch and go for a while cos the giants medicos glues it on backwards and he kept running in reverse.

Incorrect, Bontempelli was cited and received a fine.

I agree though, I watched Nick Haynes on Saturday and he could barely breath. It was such a brave and heroic effort to make it back from such a terrifying injury in such a short period of time.

Why are we punishing the injury rather than the intent of the act? Bontempelli pulled up and braced for contact whereas Greene deliberately fell to his knees and engaged in actions with the intention to cause pain.

Always thought he is treated unfairly but what he did to Bont was just ugly.

The guy has spat at someone and not been suspended, head-butted someone and not been suspended, kicked someone in the face and not been suspended, assaulted a civilian and not gone to jail and people think that people are out to get him.

Can definitely add eye gouging and not getting suspended to the list.
