Fair, a bit Lyons like in that he had a good season, saved his career, but really is a square peg for a round hole in the short term for our side (especially with a rebuild looming). Assuming we're committed to the Crouch brothers for the main pieces of our midfield during that rebuild of course, which means we're already carrying one slow as shit midfielder.

Eh, I'd sacrifice CEY for absolutely nothing if it opens up a best 22 spot, and by that, forced us to get more pace into our midfield (in which Jones/McHenry/Gallucci/Milera all have in spades). Us having a very slow midfield has such an irritating weakness for a long while.

I would say Wilsons resigning is us not being interested in keeping either Greenwood/CEY at the terms that they want.
