I actually heard the same this morning from a well connected friend. Negotiations between WC and Geel are non existent - a lot of bad blood.

I’d say he’s gone regardless. I accepted that months ago. For one we likely get a far better deal including a top 6 pick from Freo. Secondly, and more importantly, it would shove it up the arse of all the WC flogs on this forum who have thought they could give up a half eaten cookie for Kelly.

I can see this happening.

While I would love TK, atleast it frees up our draft picks and forces Freo to use some of theirs. Hopefully that means we can snare a couple of the WAFL guys

I’ve disagreed with Obeanie1 in almost every one of his posts but I think he’s suddenly realised after the last final how good TK is (and perhaps how important he is for Geelong) and now actually agree with him.

13 + 22 + future first for Kelly + future R2.

I still think it’s unders but it’s closer to the mark, given West Coast don’t have better picks.

I do admitt his finals performances have lifted his standing and value. He is worth the picks and with the picks both teams have thats as close to fair we can get. Maybe 22 and next years 1st gets turned into a high top 10 pick this year who knows. The distance between 2020 picks in a heavily compromised draft wont be as significant.

Don't like players nominating a club, i think nominating a state and then making a deal that suits all parties.

While a player wanting to go to Vic needs to nominate 2 clubs so it's still fair.

All fine to have a preference, but need to be open minded to going to either club.
