We can hate all we want but this was a genius move by Sydney Swans.

Also GWS keeps racking up super early draft picks. I say good on them, beautiful trading and list management.
Good method, but had the significant initial capital to start turning the rotating door. Can't see it ending anytime soon either, unless clubs start paying unders for players they know GWS need to let go due to salary cap etc.

Saints want to make him the highest paid midfielder in the AFL. Yes, highest!!!!
Freo wants the equivalent trade deal.

Fair deal.

Note:
Saints went too hard for Hill. They shouldn’t have put so much money on the table before asking Freo what Freo wanted.
What money are Fyfe and Martin on?

Really want GWS to end up ****ing this up. Would end the seemingly never ending cycle of top pick after top pick.

Two of those thirds for a GWS future second even? Still think we can/will get a deal done with 32 and those three third rounders to bring Keath and Bruce in whilst keeping pick 13 for the draft
GWS don't have an early second. Lore does an amazing job of updating the pick order at this time of year:

They 100% surely have a plan to try move further up. Adelaide are well known for bidding on academy kids, then you have Sydney who have the opportunity to draft the perfect Josh Kennedy replacement. Having those two with picks directly before GWS is just bad news. They are surely talking to Melbourne (Pick 3) or Adelaide (Pick 4) to move further up. God I hope it doesn't happen and they lose massive value having to panic trade out <3

Honestly I don't know why St.Kilda is so confident about getting Ben King.

I heard Shane Wakelin interviewed on SEN a few weeks back and he said that getting traded away from his brother at St.Kilda was the best thing that ever happened to he and his brother developmentally.

As a twin I understand the security that you feel having a brother next to you for life's challenges, but more so the importance of forging your own paths through life as you get older.

I think after two years of living separately Ben will realise this and I wouldn't be surprised for him to try to move to any Melbourne team other than St.Kilda.

That's my take anyway.

Think that's an excellent point and everyone is probably getting carried away thinking it's a certainty he chooses St Kilda if he comes back to Victoria. There's a number of different reasons why he might choose a different club from forging his own path, to a better monetary offer, maybe he thinks there is a better chance to win elsewhere.

Twin or no twin I'm thinking in a more general sense. From what I've seen of him (which is only a handful of games) he has the attributes to be a superstar key forward. Over 200cm, super fast, good mark, more than solid below his knees. If I'm a Melbourne club who thinks they're in the hunt (Saints clearly believe they're in the box seat) then I'm not trading any high quality future assets while he is unsigned. Same with the Adelaide clubs with Lukosius.

Yeah sorry I meant GWS's 2020 second round pick. Not sure if they have academy players next year that would make that impossible but think Adelaide would accept a future second (ours or GWS's) for Keath.

Freo really need to stand strong on Hill now. Picks in the teens are completely useless to them, and Saints seem unlikely to trade their 2020 first. They should hold onto him, or ask him if there's another Melbourne club he would like to go to.

Saints getting a gun player to nominate them, only to **** up the trade by trying to be too clever would be hilarious.

They might try get B Crouch now

Hill wouldn't be happy today. Doesn't seem like Saints done much to try and sort out the deal

Good on the Saints though, not taking too much BS

St Kilda might do 12 and 2020 1st rounder. Use 2021 for King

Exactly what I said a few pages back.

They seem to think that, as he barracked for them and his brother is there that it’s already done. Just like Carlton did with Tom Boyd...

Dogs give pick 13 and our second rounder next year for Hill
Freo give us Hill and a third rounder this year

Deal done and thank your mother for the rabbits

No way we want to give up futures with the acamedy kids available + a father son

Oh the melts would be massive if he didn't choose St Kilda.

The pressure they're putting on him is a bit silly. Who knows if going to St Kilda is what he wants
