Dream scenario is Melb bid and everyone pretends phone don't work for 5mins (wont happen but would be glorious)

We have 2 future 1sts plus 4 inside 40 so we have the picks to get 4. But i doubt the bid comes until Sydney so its irrelevant.

Maybe but do Port want Weightman? if Melb take Weightman Port take Pickett maybe. I think Dogs take Kemp over Bergman if there. My worry is Robertson goes Carl and Kemp Haw or Port and we end up with Serong or Bergman which is ok but not great.

Agreed. Ive done the list and we dont get Kemp or Robertson (unless we trade up) unless Pickett Serong Weightman and one of Bergman/Day all go before our first pick.

It's definitely the bottom two I think. Pickett, Serong and Weightman look a very good chance to be gone.

I'm not so sure about Bergman or Day. Wither way I'm not two fussed. Would love Robertson but I don't think there would be anything btw Bergman or Kemp.

Would love Robertson or kemp (prefer Robertson) and are terrific options to get our most dire need, a gun mid.

Given GC’s obsession with Robertson, would we swap 14 and 36 for 15 and 20 and take kemp with 15?

Robertson wont get to 14 nor Sharp 36. Only Gould is accurate of that lot.

I took it 100% based of Cal’s latest draft. Except he stopped at 30 with Sharp not yet drafted.

LOL so he has players rated higher than someone they really need who is rated by almost everyone as in the top 3 if not the best player in the draft .......My ass

So many definitive statements in this thread over the past 2 or 3 weeks. It’s actually a little cringeworthy. None of us have any idea so let’s not pretend otherwise e.g. Sydney will bid on Green if Melbourne doesn’t, Robertson and Kemp will not be available at our first pick etc. All we can hope for is that we pick up a couple of 200+ gamers and set ourselves up for future (premiership) success.

I wouldnt really stress if sydney dont bid someone inside 10 will i just dont know why they wouldnt bid unless they are planning to live trade 5.

Dogs won't take Kemp. He's the last thing they need. Their midfield is set for the next 10 years (Bont, Macrae, Hunter, Smith, West, Dunkley etc) and even if they wanted him as a key/third tall forward, they've already got Naughton (Best young KPP in the comp) Shache and Jamarra Ugle-Hagan next year through their academy, who some see as comparable to a young Lance Franklin. It's an incredible list they have, with their only forseeable hole being an elite small forward, which is why they'll take Weightman or Bergman Imo (Bergman not a small per say, but more of a need than Kemp).

If Kemp makes it past the Hawks, which I highly doubt he will, then he's making it to us as the last thing Port and the Dogs need are inside mids. Robertson I'm not so sure, reckon he goes to Carlton or Hawks.

Why are any of you surprised teams don't want to start cutting each others throats in any way by making other teams pay on draft night?
It would just come back to your club eventually so it makes zero sense. Quite frankly, very surprised seasoned footy fans would even venture down that thought path.
