I think he would be a great forward coach but he is smart enough to know that there is to much scrutiny on you so he will stick to what he’s doing

ah... paying out a contract doesn’t remove other remedies, particularly if he feels his reputation has been unfairly trashed
an employee has a lot more options than just contract pay out if it’s been handled badly

That's why there were public statements like this to try to protect the club from legal action. The other reason, possibly the main one, is for Chappy to save face after stupidly telling us how elite they were not long before they got the boot.

Whether it works to stave off legal action remains to be seen.
