To with that he plays with aggression & some spunk which we lack + hes a great size & really has some power. could be a great wingman with all the attributes. Whats even better is he got through the season fit

Macreadie could be a mistake.

I'm not surprised that Moore isn't on that list yet, although that may...and likely will...yet come about.
I still think we should have used him in the backline this year.

Zac Merrett unfollowed The Dons on insta....is this really where it's all at?
Williams, Saad and Merrett really would change things around for us. No Graham nor Wright, nor Witherden required.

We lose Macreade as well as Goddard and Ben, that would be 3 KP defenders, 2 developing ones, in 1 hit. IMHO - stupid list management. Keep either Macreade or Ben but that would be too logical.

Yep I would have expected to keep one of Macreadie or Bsos. Clearly we'll target KPP at the draft or Delisted Free Agency.

I think it's flawed using BNF'S for a mid table side, then suggesting a player in a too 2 side wouldn't be of value to another

Both have traits we need, both would have a similar trade value

I was hoping we would keep Macreadie for another year. I had really high hopes for him early on, injuries haven't helped.

I guess it's a bit brutal with the list sizes shrinking.

After recruiting so many key defenders, is this now another list need we need to be looking at with Jones turning 30 in February?

Genuinely though Macreadie had a lot of promise. I just realised he was 198cm, he plays a lot shorter than that. Someone that tall and mobile should be persisted with considering injuries.

He starts on the wing over O’Brien for mine. Loved his attack on the footy and delivery inside 50 against the lions on the weekend

Not sure if this has been mentioned in the thread yet or not, but I really hope they look at playing Charlie for 70% of the time in the midfield next year. Needs to build the same engine as his brother, I can see him in a similar role to a Fyfe/Kouta type role and could be an X Factor for us from within the club. Proven that Harry and co can kick winning scores without him, we just need to stop the 5 goal bleeds!

ps. also hoping they put Williams through the midfield.. will be wasted in the backline.

We've had a long looks at Macreadie now, time to move on.

That's fair enough, it's hard to be critical when you don't have the information that the list management have. It just feels a bit odd to be releasing 3 key defenders in the one hit, we now have almost no depth in key defenders in case of injury.

Marchbank isn't really a key back, probably our best (and possibly only) back up key defender would now be Casboult.

Yeah I think he's going to make a very good mid if given the opportunity.

He's a local kid where I live so I've watched him very closely, you've got a good one there!

Just listened to the AFL exchange podcast and Mitch Cleary mentioned a possible link between us and Luke Breust. I’d offer a second rounder, would be a fantastic player to add to our forward mix. Don’t care if he’s slightly old. We need winners and goal kickers, he is both.
