Got in quicker than the last time, bay 200 in the western stand. I haven't sat in the western stand for ages, but I did sit there the last time we played Richmond in a final ;)
So we'll have you to thank if we have another 8 goal first quarter :-).

133 for me - $193 is a lot to fork out, but how often do you get the chance to see your team make a grand final? I would have paid double if I had to.

Logged on at 11am as priority 2 and couldn't get 3 seats together at all. Couldn't even get 2. Spent the next 30 mins with 3 browser sessions open trying to get single seats close as possible to each other. Kept selecting and cancelling over and over. Ended up with a Cat 1 ticket in section 328A and 2 Cat 1 tickets in sections 330, but one row A and one row L.

Sucks not sitting next to each other, but at least we are going!

Richmond members have up until 2pm so what will happen to their left overs, what are the chances general public may get some???
Not much. The Richmond allocation isn't say 12,500 ie half tickets, set in stone until their window shuts. Ticketek monitor the system and every few minutes move across aisles/seats from Richmond to Port member allocation.

So if Richmond members buy 2,000 seats in first 5 minutes then only 200 in the next 5, and because they only have 1 window, Ticketek will move across plenty of seats from their 12,500 allocation across reasonably quickly to Port members.

Sucks that not all members get a shot before general public, but apparently AFL only allow 2 categories before general sale. There has to be a better way to do it but AFL don't really give a stuff.

When the government only allow half the crowd capacity because of COVID, there was always going to be issues.

In 2017 the official attendance was 41,172 for the EF. Even allowing for the bullshit undercounting by SMA there was 10,000 tickets not sold.

But in 2017 there were still issues about getting tickets where you wanted if you logged on early, AFL blocking some of the best aisle/bays for their use etc.

I have been doing dummy purchases on Ticketmaster for the GF practice for Gabba finals and when the window opens for the public you don't get a choice, but after 10 minutes you can zoom in and select your bay and seats left - the blue dots.

And Ticketmaster have been able to do that since at least 2013 as I specifically remember being able to select an individual seat for the Collingwood EF that year.

Trying to understand how 22k tiks are sold in the first 1/2 hr considering no one can come from Victoria and the percentage of members that are in category 1?
Fairly strong contingent of SA Richmond members i would think but yeah i didnt think there would be enough in P1 to blow through 22k tickets in 30 minutes

Richmond members will probably buy 2.5k to 3k tickets. They will come in from NSW, Qld, Tassie, NT, maybe WA not just live in SA. Plus Vic Richmond members might have given their codes to mates outside Victoria.

AFL Members have priority 1 at 9am. Port have about 200 of these people, Richmond have about 5,000. How many of these people passed on their codes to mates who may or maynot barrack for either team??

Edit - Actually AFL members may be more than just those with Port or Richmond club support.

There are 29k Port members who are eligible to buy tickets, probably 16k-20k of that 29k are 100% pledgers and eligible for Priority 1 window.

Bloody Adelaide Oval members are eligible in priority 1, supposedly there are 2,400 of those who are Port supporters, some crowies will go and some crowies will give their Port mates their codes.

How laughable and pedantic is this crowd restriction thing? Nobody in the whole state has the damn virus, just let us have 50,000 there you campaigners.
Absolute No reason why it couldn't be 40k.

Apparently that is not allowed and only residents outside of Victoria will be allowed to buy tickets and no transfer of VIC based memberships allowed this year.

You gotta a think a little bit.

People can change their address in the lead up to the finals. A few Port members who live in Victoria and are members of this forum have done it for family/friends to use. ;)

bay 149. never sat down the northern end. next to richmond supporters i presume. hope we got port some port heads in our bay.
