Thanks for the data kane. When you look at the records of these three individuals...

and read Gaff's recent afl.com article about six finals series in a row or something, you can understand how we have strong player retention.
Lay this table on the desk during negotiations with potential recruits. Go you Eagles.

Hard to believe Darling is rated at only 5kgs more than Shuey.

What is the article in The West today regarding Brander?

-Brander is set to ask the club to to end the experiment on the wing and for him to be trained up as a key position player, either in defense or as a swingman
- Advisors to Brander hold concerns about his long term development as a tall
- Geelong is still interested in Brander (they enquired about him in both 2018/19 during TK trades)
- Brander isn't yet considering any firm offers from rival clubs until he understands West Coasts future plans for him
- West Coast is said to be keen on keeping Brander
- Any trade request would occur late in the trade period given the number of key forwards up for grabs this trae period

Good on him. He is not a wing and in his limited games, has shown he has a great ability to read the flight of the ball and take a contested mark. I think we should train him in defense.

Damian Barrett on MMM pre-game show indicated the implosions (players wanting out - being let go etc) currently being viewed at Essendon, Norfs and GWS is being blamed on hubs.

Didn’t really expand on his comment other that to say some players did not cope with living in team mates pockets for extended periods of time.

ABC sports talk this morning suggesting WA teams may have to hub to start 2021 season due to WA borders. That is, assuming borders remain closed until April 1 and season starts end of March.

A tip for any WA residents who (like me until yesterday) weren't aware of this... being a member of the WA State Library gives you access to a bunch of eResources, including the digital editions of The West Australian & Sunday Times.
Why the hell am I mentioning those 2 rags in this thread? That's a fair question. There was a nice double page feature on Liam Ryan yesterday that temporarily put the Sunday Times into my good books, so I'm being kind.
When you register you'll receive an email with your barcode number. That, along with your name, is all you need to log in & start reading. (Apparently they post a physical card out to you as well)

If Borders open on April 1 surely the AFL would schedule a derby in round 1, followed by away games. By time the teams have played their round 2 games the border will be open.

If borders aren't open I 100% believe the AFL and government will come to an arrangement allowing movement of players and officials in an out of the state by then.

No, you should be able to get an exemption for that (even now I believe)
Five correspondances with WA police five different, conflicting and very ambiguous answers. Request rejected based on an online form that doesnt even ask your relationship with the deceased.

Final outcome - escorded into a private viewing room - escorted out with no contact with others, no attendance at the post service cup of tea, no attendance at the wake, gloves and mask must be warn at all times. What gloves? Wife expected to sit behind glass and watch upset grandchildren without any contact. This was communicated the day before the funeral whgile we were in Sydney unabe to move after two weeks of trying to gain clarity.

If thats attending a funeral you may as watch live streamed. I and others still have no idea what the policy is given as it is open to the whim of whoever answers. How else can you explain 5 different answeres that only have in common that they are ambiguos and very unclear.

Sorry to hear mate, sounds like an awful situation.

Not sure if it's deserved though. Nah! I would have any 3 of the others before him. I would have Boak as no 1.
For me, Hawkins has been the most dominant and influential player this season. I also reckon Nic was the 2nd. Says a lot about the rest of the Eagles team, actually.

What is the article in The West today?

Tom Percy QC - (pg 143) getting stuck into VFL about Willies case being extraordinarily slow to be heard.

Murder trials average 12-18 months to be heard.
Junior prosecutor could have put Willies case together in week at outside.
Etc etc etc.

Then there was an article by Ryan Daniels (pg 181) comparing Willies charge & suspension with De Goey who has continued to play on despite being charged with criminal offence.
