Maybe you should check yours before gloating like a big flog.
???

I literally just said Tom Browne reported this, which did happen, and proposed a hypothetical accordingly. Whether Bulldogs deny or not (which is common procedure) doesn't change anything.

It's funny because you seem to have this superiority complex and take great joy in attacking random posts on bigfooty, which is kinda sad when you consider how frequently you're wrong and how stupid you look when you show just how clueless you are.

Jordan Lewis just gave some insight into Gunstan and Isaac Smith.

Believes Gunstan will stay but Smith definitely exploring options and endorsed the move as he enjoyed the change of environment late in his career.

Back ended deals always seem like a good idea at first, until you get to the back end! It’s such lazy list management and always comes back to haunt you.

Agree and then to try and get the contract off the books when it comes time to pay up is pretty shitty. Irrespective of whether he is worth it or not it sounds like he agreed to the stretching out of the deal to help the club with the cap the last year or two. Now we try and offload him. Not a good way to build trust for future recruits I wouldn’t think.

To balance out FA, I reckon clubs should be able to trade players within the current state they play in or to their home state- no questions asked, provided the contract is the same

Will never happen.
FA is brought in to balance the current system of draft where players have no say on their futures.
Otherwise they’d end up in the courts and the whole system collapses.

FA compo is going to be going shortly too.
Matter of time.

Just watch them turn him around so that he rediscovers himself as a 40-50 goal a year forward again.

Unfortunately don’t think it could happen in any other state(a) apart from NSW or QLD. Needs anonymity if he’s any hope.

It’s still an average of the contract in full.
How you spread it really makes no difference.
It’s not lazy, it’s structured to suit the circumstances at that time but it can always change too

Interesting brute force attack by Dunkley. I wonder who is managing him? You wouldn’t think he’d be prepared to burn so many bridges unless he thought there was a legitimate chance of getting himself traded. Was he one of the “problematic” Bulldog midfielders we’ve been hearing rumours about?

Maybe he just doesn’t want to play as a ruckman ?

Maybe he didn't like Caleb Daniel being thrown into the pool 😂

How you spread it does make a difference though, otherwise why would they spread it?

It’s essentially fitting them in now and worrying about it later.

Keen to read about this, link?

Although the true problem should be Bevo copying Bucks and trying to play 17 midfielders + Caleb Daniel on field not Dunkley.

You also need to remember space opens up down the track again as players come and go...
It’s still an average either way

Dunkley complements our soft midfield so much more than someone like Treloar, we already have enough offensive run. Give Treloar's money to Dunkley, add our 1st on top of Treloar for the latter if that's what it takes.

- Trade Treloar to GC for Pick 5 + Will Brodie
- Trade Pick 5 + Pick 14 for Josh Dunkley

C: Josh Daicos ~ Scott Pendlebury ~ Steele Sidebottom
R: Brodie Grundy ~ Josh Dunkley ~ Taylor Adams
Int: Will Brodie

All of a sudden we transform a bottom 8 midfield into an A grade midfield engine
Like it, but Dunkley’s price is too steep. I realise your logic is we would need to pay overs to grab a required player from the dogs.

Yeah still an avg I get that, it’s a bit like Governments printing money though, catches up somewhere.

Don’t get me wrong, an effective tool if used correctly.

Yeah don't blame you for underrating him, he has kind of stayed under cover as people continue to be obsessed with Bont.

I think he is an automatic top 10/15 midfielder in the comp if you play him there, I'd back him in to beat players like Cripps/Boak/Mitchell, those that can't out-run him will just get beaten around contests.

Also, he is ONLY 23. I think what essentially will be pick 7 (Ugle-Hagan & Crouch) and pick 18 (Ugle Hagan, Crouch, Williams, Cameron) is arguably unders. I know if I were the Bulldogs I wouldn't take that deal, you are literally getting a 23 year old top 10 midfielder quality player with great durability who will immediately dominate from day 1.

It may sound I am underrating him I guess. If I wasn’t I’d pay up would I?
I do realise he’s snuck up on everyone and is now a bit of a gun. I get the impression he never plays a poor game and is very consistent. I’d still like him at the Pies.

I love AT but if that’s even within 150k of the truth, he has to go.

That’s a stanky deal
Which means next year when it kicks in he could be on 400k -500k which is not that pricey

And the Bulldogs have said several times over the course of the week that Dunkley wouldn’t be traded under any circumstances. He’s not available. As a side note, how much money do you think it took for the basket case that is Essendon to convince Dunkley to request a trade? There’s no way we’re matching the $$ that Essendon are offering.

As far as I can see, you’re the one who started attacking after I (correctly) pointed out that Dunkley wasn’t available so why are you bothering with the hypotheticals. Consider that maybe you have an inferiority complex rather than me having a superiority complex. You’re very quick to go ballistic when your cringey posts on the trade board are called out after all....
