The prob with walking players to the psd is that the players pretty much say they will sit out if another team picks them like Luke ball did and they end up going to the team for free.

Haha, yeah a player is going to miss out on $500k just to protest about not getting to a club that can’t make a trade, I am happy to test that theory

I'd be putting our 2021 second on the table for both guys first thing tomorrow and then walking away. Pick will be around 20-22 which will be valuable points for Daicos.

If they want pick 11 then I would be wanting their 2021 first back, or at least somehow tying in the Dogs' pick this year.
We can’t do that first thing.
Have to wait till 3:30.

Ben Brown (North Melbourne)

He’ll sign a four-year deal at Melbourne, it’s just a question of the price. A pick swap with Adelaide and sending Braydon Preuss to GWS means the Demons own picks 26, 31 and 33. It’s believed Melbourne would be happy to send off 31 and 33 for the forward who kicked 187 goals across 2017-19, but the Kangaroos may want a bit more.

Jaidyn Stephenson (Collingwood)

Contracted until the end of 2022, but looks a likely victim of the club’s salary cap squeeze - and in a sense his own talent, since he’s on up to $500,000 a year after winning the 2018 Rising Star award. A Seven report stated North Melbourne is offering five years and $2.5 million for him, which would be hard to knock back. If he’s getting that sort of money, is he worth Pick 11 in a trade? He certainly seems better than Pick 28, the Roos’ next selection.

Jed Anderson (North Melbourne)

Still yet to sign a new deal and a number of clubs are monitoring the situation, but Carlton isn’t one of them.

I don’t like trading down our picks but we really need to get as many shots at first rounders as we can.
Trade pick 2 to GC for pick 5 , pick 27 and ‘21 1st rounder
Trade pick 11 and pick 30 to pies for pick 16, stevo and ‘21 first rounder.
We still keep 2 first rounders but will have 3 first rounders next year in a deeper draft. And we haven’t weakened our Draft hand for next year.

Anyone else get the feeling the stephenson offer comes across as the old bait and switch? "We wasnt to ease our salary cap position oh and by the way we will take a 1st rounder "

Would be good to get pick 16 and stevo for a couple 2nd rounders

There's a good chance we don't finish last. We had the deepest injury list in the comp and purposely played guys out of position, there was a reason we were so crap.

Those other teams listed went backwards this offseason and they were already awful. We lost to all the cellar dwellers but for the Crows, won't happen next season.
Yep. I’d expect 6-8 wins next year, which usually sits 13th-15th on the ladder. Could be more if things click but I don’t expect the forward line to be good enough to consistently put up winning scores.

The longer the Dunkley/Treloar deal takes.

The better for us.

It will just increase the pressure on Collingwood to do the deal with us at whatever the cost.
