Yeah, although we made a very minor pick swap with Gold Coast to get access (part of their concessions), Muzz was never available to Gold Coast. Just like the Bombers with Lloyd, Hogan with Dees etc.
No he was available to them. They had the option to trade pre listed players, some of which they did. Some they kept.

Love the idea of Neale. Would like to see us trade our second next year to get a pick for him before our second. MAybe for adelaides 23 or gws pick 26 or gcs 27

If a bid hasn’t come by our 32 then trade that out for their 44 and a future 3rd

No Walker or Western.

This is great news. I’m starting to think that Walker could slide to pick 40 before a bid which would be amazing. Also seems Western could even slide as far as the rookie draft. More confident now that we will get 2 selections in before either of them are bid on. If Western makes the rookie draft we may even get a third live pick around about the 50 mark in the main draft.

Cal Twomey and now Fox Footy's Matt Balmer have both said that Freo should get their first two selections out of the way before a bid for either comes.

I didn't know that...

"In the week before Christmas clubs can nominate a maximum of six players being considered for the SSP to train with them from January 6 when club's senior players return."

I've stated for ages both Callow and Neale will be there at 32. More worried about us losing 32 in a bid tbh, as I'm sure anyone who's read my posts over the last few weeks would know.

This board is obsessed with talls but their standing amongst draft experts both in rankings and phantom drafts seems to be later in the draft if not overlooked altogether.

Both seem a slight reach even at 32 but your probably looking more at list needs at that stage. You probably reach at 32 especially if none of the better talls slide to 12, knowing full well we have two smaller players good as in bag afterwards.

Where do we predict the academy players will be bid? Not ours, the ones to be bid on before our picks.

I'll work out what pick number we then hold and we can predict which players will be taken prior to that point.

JUH 3
Campbell 12
Gulden 25
Jones 18
Mcinnes 20

Earlier the better, with the exclusion of Walker and Western obviously.

The earlier bids come the more picks 54, 55 and 63 come in.

I think JHU, Campbell, Jones and possibly McInnes will be bid on before our first pick (we could bid on McInnes)
