I think you better read what I said again, and brush up on your history.
Aussie Rules was invented IN Australia. Australia has no real international influence (in terms of population and/or geography) and hence it is virtually impossible for anythign invented here to "take over" other areas where sports are cultually entrenched.
If the game we call Aussie Rules was NOT invented here and was invented IN England, by English people LIVING IN ENGLAND, then the game would obviously spread (in some capacity anyway)
Given that you're an Aussie, what do you have against AR anyway?

It's the funniest pic I've ever seen.
Well don't mention you think the Haka is funny to a Kiwi
because they take it seriously .

Yep, a nsw guy over in England was watching the school children play a strange game at lunch time, he then came back to Australia, the rest is history.
oh, and just after that, the game died in England![]()
It was a game to keep cricketers fit in the offseason, hahahahaha, so it was played to help out another sport, hahahahahaha.![]()
If I showed that pic to any Kiwi, they'd die of embarrassment.![]()

How does this make a difference? Please explain because you're clutching at straws.
Yep, the game was originally inended to keep cricketers fit in the off-season. That indigenous game is now the country's biggest code.
Does it make you proud to be an Australian?
A schoolboys pastime![]()
Just like all things school boy, they'll eventually grow out of it.![]()
Do you leaguies have anything to say? Or do you want to let this one go through to the keeper again? How you cannot acknowledge that AFL requires a higher skillset to play is beyong me.
Let's weight them up:
League
-Throw ball backwards left
-Throw ball backwards right
-catch uncontested ball from close distance
-occasionally catch uncontested ball from far distance
-occasionally catch contest ball after high kick into try zone
-kick into touch
-kick into try area
-Kick for field goal
-kick from set shot
-tackle
-dodge
AFL
-Ruck contest
-handpass rather than throw ball
-handpass in all directions rather than just backwards
-handpass with both hands
-continuously be under pressure from 360 degrees
-catch ball often from long distance
-catch contested ball
-kick with both feet
-kick to moving targets
-kick at goal without place kick
-kick regularly under pressure from 360 degree
-bounce ball whilst running whilst under pressure from 360 degrees
-tackle people who are running at you very fast
-control an oval shaped ball that is coming at you from much further away, at greater speed, and under far more pressure more often
-run at full speed in short sharp bursts regularly
- run 20km+ every game (not all players)
- read the play from a 360 degree perspective
Do you get the picture? Do you now acknowledge that AFL requires more skill?
If I showed that pic to any Kiwi, they'd die of embarrassment.
So is cracking jokes an admission of defeat? I take it you're not Australian, by the way? When did you move to our country?

You miss the most important one ,the dribble from start to end.I think it's interesting that this post was sidestepped for nearly 100 posts:

Well I know of Kiwi's that have seen it and are proud that the Falcons are doing it for NZ even though they don't follow the AFL .

So I can assume you agree that AfL requires mre skill. Make sure you don't conveniently forget it when debating with someone else down the track. It's a pretty obvious and simple concept. Doesn't mean AFL is necessarily better - just requires more skill. You miss the most important one ,the dribble from start to end.![]()

I just read your post. You're in denial. Laughable.Really helps if you have those mauling skills I noticed that you refered to as a skill. If you ever read my reply to your post, then you will realise why you must be a star.
