He’s played 37 games. He has not even come close to establishing himself as a quality AFL ruck man. He was completely dominated by Nic Naitanui and Scott Lycett.

Would he be in the top 10 AFL ruck man right now?

As I said, give him 2 years and then reevaluate him position in the game.

He's not elite, and will likely never be, but he's still a fine player. McEvoy probably a good comparison. Fitness is never a worry with him, and he doesn't seem the type to get complacent (a rarity amongst AFC players).

I would say he is trending towards being a good ruckman, but tags like "elite" should only be given to guys like Brodie Grundy and Max Gawn etc.

It's based off one year though (2020), and Grundy was down last year.

Yep I agree. They know that there will be some pain to come but are prepared to lock in and stay. ROB is a good signing. I also think that Strachan has upped his game a bit over the off season so might end up being a capable back up if needed and there is the break glass of Frampton / Himmelberg as a short term. - Not all doom and gloom
