They got the right balance.
However, if they were to bring in a 19th club like Tassie, there would be a few more of them. If ever got to 20th club like another one from Mornington Peninsula or 3rd club from Perth, Canberra or Newcastle it would probably be every round.

I'd prefer to have it every week, I'd rather have a game on Thursday night than having an extra game on Saturday clashing with other games.

Mainly around the first 2 rounds of the season and school holidays

Can't give too many thursday nights to the same teams either

I don't mind the concept but it seems to always be the same cluster of teams and adding Thursdays into the mix means some teams get shorter breaks.

The WAFL could also negotiate something with Kayo / Fox if they felt the value was there though. So could the SANFL.

Double Header Friday (7pm+10pm game) or Sunday Night (7pm) every week (WA home teams only for some prime time action)

schedule any clashing games at saturday 2pm, all other games are standalone to minimise clashing

Good to watch on TV, not great to go watch. Crowds are always lower for Thursday matches in Melbourne, and unless its big name teams like Richmond/Collingwood you can really tell.

Most state league players aren't full time footballers, only those on AFL lists.

Not a fan of Thursday night games at all. I just prefer gam,es to be played on the weekend, get a round done and dusted. It also screws around with the fixture the following week, to avoid have 9-day vs 7-day breaks the two teams involved should be playing Thursday or Friday the next week, or play against opponents who played on the Friday.
