Its how an organization deals with problems that defines them. The WC tolerated, turned a blind eye, and refused to act decisively when it should have against its problem players. Its weakness was driven by the desire to win matches. Your problem players happened to have been match winners. It was a simple choice - win or take responsibility. Now the problem is literally unmanageable. Player almost dying, player in a one man crime wave, player with "personal problems.' The kid they rubbed out of the game from Carlton went because he wasn't a star. The "stars" were tolerated in their ****e behaviour because they won matches. Conclusion = Gooding goes
I believe Gooding is already going, due to the rotational policy of the BoD he will be replaced by Mark Barnaba sometime soon, don't know exactly when. I don't think he should be going prematurely, becuase he hasn't wanted to do what any Chairman would not want to, that is come down hard on a star for something they did not want to believe.
It is quite typical that it is a Sydney supporter that is taking such a harsh stance. I suppose at least they are glad it is likely neither of us will win a premiership this year.
