Shame Billing’s is one of my favourites but I think it’s time we parted ways he’s a good player but he is not the difference between winning a flag or not.

Wonder if a guy like Dunstan plays the year out just to increase his trade value?

How Clav & Bytel aren't playing every week is beyond me.

Should be a massive clean out at the end of the year but the Prez, Coach, Footy Boss, CEO etc all say next year is when we planned on being contenders.

Unless we have some iron clad deal to let Billings go and use our 2 picks to get Ben King, I don't see it happening.

If Ratts really is struggling with work/life balance (and I get that, full time is very different than caretaker and last year was a massive asterisk) then maybe the club runs a review, and we can use that as an excuse to refresh the coaches AND the playing list?

Let the Pies go after Mitchell/Clarkson while the Blues pay Ross Lyon's super.

We can scout the likes of Yze, Burns & Caracella. Maybe poach Xavier Clarke for development. Bring in Don Pyke to oversee it all, either as head coach or director or football.

Draft mids early. No massive FA moves until we are in finals. One or two is fine but half our list is made up of guys from other clubs.

Leave rookie spots for ready made options rather than these dice rolls the club seems to love.

And FFS, if we have Max King getting help from a bloke who's kicked close to 1000 AFL goals, maybe extend that and see if he wants to work at the club part time?

Staggered that we knocked that back because we didn't want "too many voices" in Max's ear.

Dogs offer Billings big coin. We get Band 1.

We trade Band 1 compo to them for JUH.

Dogs get Billings & a top 5 pick for an untried kid.

We take a massive risk 😂

JUH gets busted drink driving while 60km's over the speed limit on his way to training one morning and we sack him before he plays a game. Saints footy.

I'd be happy to bring in another Steele type

E.g. a young player looking for opportunity that doesn't cost the world.

Other the that we keep our first pick and try and bring in another pick or young player

Dunstan is a restricted FA

He deserves to be in the side which is why he is getting a game I'd say.

I'd be happy to offer him a one year deal. If he chooses to take an offer from another club we'd likely at least get a third round pick compo.

Imagine that. I'm so jealous of that kind of shit. Our guys ruined our cap when we were challenging. We should get that "What About Me" song as our version of Port's "Never Tear Us Apart".

The finals contender has to be Essendon. Dare I suggest the other 2 are likely to be North and Hawthorn.

Nobody will want to trade for Billings. and if there is some competition then that will boost the contract offer.

If you’re right then he is likely to be band 1. With recents cuts to the salary cap then $700,000 may be close to band 1, let alone $750,000.

According to Jake Niall’s article a few years ago trigger clauses are not part of the FA compensation, nor are incentive payments. It’s all about the yearly average of guaranteed or base income.
