Youd rather be at a club where you could lose your job in weeks cos of its poor finances?? Carlton is a club with no future quite simply because before the future comes they will be either bankrupt or a new franchise up in Gold Coast. For mine send them to the Gold Coast. Get rid of all there poor history and start from scratch

Mate you are completely clueless and have no idea whats going on at our club.

I know a rabble when I see it. I have inspected the bottom of the ladder for 2 years now and ive heard your lot on your knees begging for money. The writing is on the wall. Just got to wait for Andy D to sign seal and deliver you to the Gold Coast

I know F-U. Hes not that fat guy. Hes only 18.

That would make sense as he constructs arguments like a child and only someone with a 6 or 7 yr knowledge of footy would so seriously misunderstand Carlton's historical power and success.;)

One clubs near bankruptcy whereas one is the most powerful club in Victoria. Carlton is a rabble and there way of getting out of it is to replicate there enemies and to become like them. A club with no pride really :thumbsd:

We are near bankruptcy are we? I guess it is lucky we have a president who could buy out your pathetic club. You are the laughing stock of the league at the moment, not us.

I assume you mean "cheated too". I must have missed this, how did West Coast cheat to win the flag in '06?

How did they cheat you ask? Well in my opinion having half your team on illegal drugs qualifies as breaking the rules. I guess you must think that it is ok.

Too bad your president is to cheap to pay any of his own money to help. Like all Carlton fans he says he cares but when the club asks him for money he doesnt deliver. Similar to Carltons young talent. A big disappointment.

Not quite sure where you got that idea. Pratt has already given the club $300,000 and is more than willing to spend much more when required. Our young talent is a big disappointment are they? I guess you're right. Maybe they should follow your clubs fine example and snort a few lines before they go out to play. Much better off then.

Breaking the rules? Yes.
Cheating? No.

The illegal substances you refer to are not performance enhancing. In terms of the advantage they gain by using them, you could compare to the practice of wearing illegally cut-off jumper sleeves on AFL guernseys, ie. no advantage but still against the rules.

Cameron Cloke is a gun now :o . I knew Carlton fans were unintelligent but every day they surprise me with a even dumber comment then the day before. It must be the Victorian water

Nick Stevens mate;)

Although Cam Cloke would walk straight into your forward line

That's if you really count the fairy floss competition as "real Football" As of yet, he hasn't played a game of senior Football!

Beat me to it, can't have it both ways. The NAB cup is a ridiculous no brainer time wasting competition in which no-one tries and if you win it means you will be a dead certainty for the wooden spoon!!

Well thats what I've been hearing for the last 2 weeks anyway. ;)

You're kidding right?

Amphetamines and cocaine are stimulants. Stimulants enhance performance.

Here's a link, go educate yourself.

Performance-Enhancing Drugs, various substances, chemical agents, or procedures designed to provide an advantage in athletic performance. Performance-enhancing drugs affect the body in different ways, such as enlarging muscles or increasing the blood’s oxygen-carrying capacity. Despite these apparent benefits, the use of such drugs is considered both competitively unethical and medically dangerous. Most performance-enhancing drugs are outlawed by organizations that govern major amateur and professional sports.

A wide variety of performance-enhancing drugs is in use today. Many of them, such as steroids and amphetamines, are controlled substances—that is, drugs whose manufacture, distribution, and use are subject to strict governmental regulation because of a high potential for abuse and medical complications.

Some athletes use stimulants to increase their energy and endurance. Caffeine and cocaine are two well-known stimulants, although caffeine is a legal drug while cocaine is a controlled substance. Stimulants affect the nervous system, causing a temporary increase in heart rate and blood pressure. Athletes use the drugs to provide a boost in energy and alertness, often to help overcome the effects of everyday fatigue or strenuous training. The World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) list of banned substances, used for the Olympic Games and other major sports competitions, includes more than 40 different stimulants.

One stimulant commonly used by athletes is amphetamine. This controlled substance has been widely used for decades by professional baseball players, who often refer to the colorful pills as 'greenies' or 'speed.'...........Although baseball introduced testing for steroids among major league players in 2003, it did not implement a ban on amphetamines and other stimulants until November 2005.

Any performance-enhancing property of cocaine would be more than negated by it's performance-detracting properties. What's more, snorting coke at a party on Saturday night is not going to make you play better the following week, or even the following day. The only way the "high" could possibly help a player even for a very short time is if he snorted coke immediately before a game, and I don't think any AFL player would be stupid enough to do that.

Great thread F-U and so true.:D

LMFAO at the pathetic attempts by the Carlton supporters to deflect back onto the Weagels but I have to ask, where's Polly? I would have thought the most deluded of all Carlton supporters would be here straight away outlining the virtues of Carlton's sensational list and marvelous financial management:confused:

As the old saying goes. If you cant beat them join them. Or in this case If you cant beat them, just try and be them.

Ive watched in interest over the past 6 months as Carlton have tried to copy the club in almost everything they do. Started with them drafting a Cloke and it has continued on today to include there poaching of someone with intelligence for a change in Greg Swan. Whats next guys. Shall ya go for Eddie as president while your at it.

Carlton have all but admitted what me and you both knew all along. Collingwood is a much better ran, much prouder historically and the much better club in general then Carlton. Now Carlton have realised this it is all about becoming the Collingwood clone. Its a shame to watch Carlton spit on there heritage like that but with fans like theirs its clear that the club history means very little to anyone down there

yes the pies are the best club in the vfl/afl history. 1 flag in more than 40 years ...... what a great success of a club :thumbsu:
