FMD!! This is probably common knowledge, but I had no idea that Mayim Bialik from The Big Bang Theory played the young version of Bette Midler in Beaches

Haha the missus pointed this out to me when it came on last night (I turned it off before little CC came on though), must be something better to watch

It would be a bit weird to play relatives in one production, and love interest in another.

For example if two actors played a brother and sister on a TV show, it would be odd to see them cast as lovers in a movie a few years later.

Sons and Daughters - Peter Phelps and Ally Fowler.

Lance Henriksen? In the police station in the original Terminator, Alien in Aliens and the Preditor in Alien V Preditor.

Technically, he survived Aliens, although being cleft in twain. But joking aside, I forgot he was in The Terminator. And until you brought it up, I thought I had successfully wiped AvP from my mind. Thanks!

In the 2005 Australian comedy film 'You and Your Stupid Mate' the two main characters, a pair of slackers who live in a caravan park in Melbourne, lust over Karen (played by Rachel Hunter), the hot single mother next door who has five kids to four different fathers.

The youngest child is a toddler daughter, and she is played by a then obscure child actress who would find fame first in the kids' show 'Little Lunch' and then soap opera 'Home and Away', Olivia Deeble, aged two at the time of filming 'You and Your Stupid Mate'. Olivia Deeble has since moved to the United States and had a big role in a Disney film, and the talented young actress has often been cited as a future Margot Robbie.

Ralph Bohner?

Elsa Raven, who died last year in her 91st year wasn't a big name movie star, however she played small but significant roles in three of my favorite movies without me knowing this was the same actress. The first was in 'The Amityville Horror' in 1979, where she plays the real estate broker who shows George and Kathy Lutz the beautiful Dutch Colonial house on Ocean Avenue. I love her line where she promises the young couple 'there's nothing like it on the market'. It's also a good scene where having sold the house she is in the kitchen completing paperwork and hears eerie noises and a strange breeze comes through the house, this freaking her out leading to her collecting up her things and leaving in a hurry.

The second film is 'Back to the Future' in 1985, where she plays the 'Save the Clock Tower' lady, approaching Marty and Jennifer in the Hill Valley town square to ask for a donation in the fight to prevent the clock in the tower (stopped since 1955 after being struck by lightning) from being replaced. Her role is brief but important as she hands Marty a flyer about the clock tower, which proves significant as he knows when the lighting will strike after he goes back to 1955.

The third film is 'Titanic' in 1997 where she plays real-life passenger Ida Strauss, the wife of wealthy tycoon Isidor Strauss. Mrs. Strauss famously refused a seat in a lifeboat and died with her husband as the ship sank in the cold Atlantic Ocean in 1912.

James Tolkan also appeared both in 'Back to the Future' and the original 'Amityville Horror'. In BTTF he famously played Principal Strickland, who waged a one man war against slackers both in 1955 and 1985. In Amityville he had a small role as the Coroner who is at the house after the DeFeo family massacre. This crime was carried out by oldest son Ronald Junior, and a major source of tension between he and his parents in real life was that Ronald Junior was a slacker. James Tolkan however did not not appear in Titanic, prowling the decks of the ill-fated liner on the lookout for slackers.

In the late 1980s there was a kids' TV show called 'Sugar and Spice' about two girls who leave their homes in Country Victoria to attend boarding school in Melbourne in the 1920s. The show is pretty much forgotten by now, but I had no idea one of the girls was played by a future Australian star - Rhada Mitchell - then credited under the name Rhada-Rani Mitchell. Her co-star was was a girl named Michelle Kearley, but after the role in Sugar and Spice and a small role in Neighbors around the same time, she vanished into obscurity and has no credited acting roles since.

Alan Fletcher and Jackie Woodbourne (the Kennedy couple in Neighbours) apparently played siblings in Cop Shop.

They weren't playing biological relatives, but Australian actors Gary McDonald and Judy Morris played brother and sister in law in 'Mother and Son', with Morris's character Liz married to Robert (played by Henri Szeps), the older brother to Gary McDonald's character Arthur. Then in the TV show 'Eggshells', a forgotten sitcom from the early 1990s Gary McDonald and Judy Morris played a married couple who were having a trial separation, and parents to two teenage kids played by Rebecca Smart and Justin Rosniak.

The man villain in Indian Jones and the Last Crusade, is also General Veers (the guy aboard the AT-AT) in The Empire Strikes Back.

Admiral Ozzel (the guy who Darth Vader chokes over the video screen) is Hitler in Last Crusade too.
Michael Sheard. Did heaps of British TV. Dr Who and a show called Blake’s 7.

While we're on the subject of Imperial Officers, I'm sure people have seen the TV ad for Midsomer Murders. The same ad has been showing for years. Well, about half way through the guy who says "extra-terrestrial intelligence" is Kenneth Colley, who played Admiral Piett.

He also played Jesus in Life of Brian.
