Would Bailey Scott be of interest to Gold Coast?

Future first plus Bailey for pick 3.

Gold Coast’s list is full and therefore aren’t looking for players really unless they’re absolute guns easy best 22. On top of that I think they’d back in their outside types like Sharp, Lukosius, Weller, Ellis and even an Atkins who they brought in last year on reasonable money over Scott.

Plus even though he was GC academy, him and his family moved down here when he was drafted by North so I doubt he would want to go back now, especially as he’s a better chance of cementing a spot in our 22.

I think this is going to be a tough trade to pull off if we want pick 2 or 3, but if Gold Coast want future picks than we are the team that’s best set up, and if they don’t, well then so be it, we don’t even know if the player we want will be there at that pick at this point.

Given that he could have elected to go there, it would be a bit low to do

N.Blakey?
You can’t be dropping names like this then disappearing off the face of the earth. You know what we’re like. He’ll have a dedicated thread with 100 pages in a week if you don’t rectify this shortly.
Yeah look as long as John is at the club, Nick never will be. If Nick nominated North at the draft, John would still be in Sydney

So we just gifting GC Bailey Scott 😎😎😎
Could easily turn out that way. I would be incredibly wary of trading our future first. Overhauling our S&C and medical departments isn't going to miraculously transform our player quality and availability in a single off season. As encouraged as I have been by some of our football this year there is every chance we are bottom 4 again next year.

Going to be a very even season again too. Can’t see too many really bad teams. We could conceivably improve, win 6-7 games and still finish last.

I’d prefer we target GC’s priority pick by using our future 2nd.
Last year GC did this trade. Pick 27 last year for 55+ this year. And this is not one of their worst 2 trades they have made over the last 4 years.

The AFL keeps giving to them and they throw picks away because they have to many and other concessions. GC have no idea what they are doing. The AFL should shut the joint down.

We should try to jump the que to be the next team to mug them. Brady has already done it.

Tom Lynch (Adelaide)

Set to join North Melbourne’s coaching panel, it’s still to be determined if Lynch will play games for them or not.

Goddard thinks he could yet lace up the boots again, while Dal Santo thinks his role will be purely an off-field one.

“He’ll be there as an assistant coach or a development coach but he won’t be playing any football,” Dal Santo said.

Good.
We need the list spot.
Some of our picks will be fails. We cant afford to just throw one away.

That’s their personal opinions from this morning on trade radio, they wouldn’t know either way.

Before you lot of dills out there start even thinking about trading Goldie, please look at the last six years of trade threads and how silly those posters looked who proposed getting rid of him when he inevitably followed up with stellar season after stellar season.

Post about Goldie trades at your own peril.
But if we post about trading him he will have a stellar season!

I think moving Dumont on would open a spot for Bailey Scott.

I reckon Bailey Scott can be that defensive midfielder, who wins the footy, if Dumont leaves.

And I think Bailey has a higher ceiling than Dumont.
