Apologies for any inconvenience. We will try to find a replacement.
Similar to 4 out of 14 of our trade outs from last year being picked up by other clubs.Prime aged wingman has zero interest league-wide.
Says a bit.
I know we dont do Super Coach much in here.(going of Ave)Frog has two problems. He's ******* slow and no one wants slow players. His only point of difference is a defensive attitude and a willingness to run, teams would rather draft a kid and try to hammer that attitude into them. Not a lot of slow wingmen out there and he's not a starting best 22 centre square player for any team in the league, not even the 18th team.
Wait, just thought of a third problem. He was injured this year and when he did play he didn't score a single point, he barely tackled and he won less contested ball than his average. He's probably at his lowest value since being drafted.
He wouldn't be nominating if there was zero interest. Must have some indication that someone wants him.

Wouldn’t know, but you wouldn’t be exploring your options unless you know someone is interested.Has he nominated or exploring what options are out there because we haven’t offered anything?

But his drop off was stark this year. almost 40% down.
He played mid much more in 2020 due to our injury list. (he was ranked our number 2 player at the club last year. Jed was best)
He was pretty consistent as a wingman for the 4 years previous.

What if we kneecap him? Then he’s on LTI List?Good in theory, but what happens to his salary? Can you delist a player mid year to clear a list spot?

More positional. How much of this is a drop off or that he missed a lot of preseason and the regular season and started way back from a fitness POV

The idea that Cunnington has cost Trent his career as an on-baller is revisionism. Trent had most of 2020 to prove what he could do in the midfield without Cunnington and hardly covered himself in glory. He used to dominate VFL teams in the midfield but he isn't particularly strong, agile or clever compared to your average best 22 AFL midfielder. There's a reason why we use him on the wing and that's because he doesn't have the attributes of a high quality AFL midfielder.Dumont would be real value for a team who already has paid for their shiny baubles but have realised they need defensive accountability and consistency to climb the ladder and win the big one.
He is a big bodied mid who would have had a much better career on paper if we didn't have one of the best contested beasts playing in the middle over the last decade.
Criminally underrated player.
100% this. The idea that Cunnington has cost Trent his career as an on-baller is revisionism. Bit of both. In supercoach terms (it’s actually helpful in this case because the 3300 point scaling accounts for the shorter games reasonably well) his 2020 was an outlier, largely thanks to his more prominent role with our injuries. He was bound to regress a bit as he returned to the wing. I’d like to think his true value is around his 2018-19 performance, but the reality is it’s probably a bit lower. How much of this is a drop off or that he missed a lot of preseason and the regular season and started way back from a fitness POV

Would he be better on a HBF than Atley?Bit of both. I'd say he’ll have a job next year one way or another. We’d be silly not to retain him if he doesn’t get a good deal elsewhere, and I can think of 4-5 lists where he’d fit in nicely.
I reckon Laz is the guyWould he be better on a HBF than Atley?
Probably not. I think this forum underrates Atley horribly. I'd rather see a couple of younger blokes get first crack at those general defender roles in any case.Would he be better on a HBF than Atley?
Im looking at our uncontracted guys.Probably not. I think this forum underrates Atley horribly. I'd rather see a couple of younger blokes get first crack at those general defender roles in any case.
Sam Edmund was asked about this today and he believes North were taken aback when they were told it would take a fair deal to get Talia to leave Adelaide for a couple years. Looks like he wants years and $.I wonder if we'll hear about DT soon as well.
I heard somewhere on radio last week, that he was apparently fairly reluctant to leave Adelaide, partner settled with work and possible after footy opportunities lined up for him too. The big confirmation was that someone saw him buying full year's membership to the local pool in Adelaide!Sam Edmund was asked about this today and he believes North were taken aback when they were told it would take a fair deal to get Talia to leave Adelaide for a couple years. Consistent with Adelaide posters saying he knows how to extract hefty contracts.Sam Edmund was asked about this today and he believes North were taken aback when they were told it would take a fair deal to get Talia to leave Adelaide for a couple years. Looks like he wants years and $.
I’m honestly surprised Carlton isn’t having a serious look, would match their midfield to a tee..Dumont would be real value for a team who already has paid for their shiny baubles but have realised they need defensive accountability and consistency to climb the ladder and win the big one.

Keep in mind Talia is very much a full back, taz is primarily a fb but can play other spots in a pinch. We really need to target a second/third talk type. If we miss. Walker is getting gamesConsistent with Adelaide posters saying he knows how to extract hefty contracts.
