If we are trading out a future third, what happens to the 19 deal. A future second?

I personally feel that deal is unlikely now. If the offer we’ve put to McPherson isn’t getting his interest, and he prefers to stay. I’d say it’s very doubtful they’d still deal the pick to us.

Maybe, probably a wait and see. A future second for 19 is still a win.

North, Richmond debate worth of Coleman-Jones
By Michael Gleeson

North Melbourne has offered a slide of draft picks in the late rounds next year in an ambit opening bid for Richmond’s ruck forward Callum Coleman-Jones.

North has offered their third round pick next year for Coleman-Jones but want Richmond’s fourth round pick back in return in the deal for the player.

The Tigers and North are a long way apart in early discussions as Richmond wants the Roos’ pick 20 for the big man who has been offered a four-year deal to move to Arden Street.

Coleman-Jones was drafted with pick 20 four years ago.

Richmond was frustrated and disappointed at the player’s decision to leave in the first instance believing opportunities would begin to open up in the Tigers senior team next season and beyond.

They also feel the player had been well supported by the club after his COVID breach at a Gold Coast strip joint and fight outside a kebab bar along with teammate Sydney Stack cost the club $100,000 in the salary cap and saw the players suspended at length.

North holds the first pick in the pre-season draft but it is unlikely the player or his management is keen to use this avenue to move.
North reasons the 22-year-old player has only played nine games since being drafted in 2017.

Coleman-Jones has spent most of his time as a back-up forward to premiership stars Tom Lynch and Jack Riewoldt.

The 200cm athletic tall played most of his junior football in the ruck and wants to play more as a ruckman than a forward.

Richmond has already lost versatile tall Mabior Chol this off-season with the ruck forward moving to the Gold Coast Suns as a free agent.
The Suns were in close negotiations with Coleman-Jones prior to securing Chol as a free agent.
I fear that offer would be the final straw that breaks the minds of the last sane Tiger posters.

By the Looks of it it will be 38 only because you guy's say!!
So it will be...
Sydney just resigned great news!!
We didn't say 38. We didn't say anything. I'd be offering pick 69 and a Taz trade so you keep Chol's compo.

He has played 9 games in 4 years.. You are kidding yourself if you think he is worth more thn that. pick 38 is a generous offer considering. We have no idea if he'll be any good. there is no evidence other than VFL form to base anything off. Tom Campbell looks like a superstar in the VFL.

Laugh all you want, you campaigners didnt play him, he had an injured player with a broken wrist play in front of him, he has a 35 year old playing in front. Pick 38 is almost too generous now that I have thought about it. your list management are the ones that used a second round pick on a player you didnt play. Not our fault.

No embellishment here at all.

Was Chris Grant taken at 105 or something? He's worse than him, granted. Pretty sure he's got every other pick 105 covered.

Rohan, ONLY, repeat ONLY, plays well when the rest of the Geelong side is playing well and they are in control of the game. He disappears as soon as the tide is running the other way, just as he did in Sydney. Against Melbourne in the PF he had one possession before he went off just before three quarter time.

Higgo, the medical sub replaced him and had 13 possessions in a quarter and a few minutes. Higgo is 10 times the player Rohan is and would have been a much better option from the word go.

My sister and nephew are Cats supporters and my nephew calls him the "Cobden Choker". They can't understand how he gets a game ahead of players like Narkle, Clark and Constable. He may play a different role, but what's the good of that if you can't get the pill when the going is a bit tougher?

Relax, this is how good clubs do it.

Joyce's starting offer would have been Pick 20.

Richmond "20? ok we'll get back to you"

(30 seconds later the wait is unbearable)

Joyce "Fine! pick 20 AND pick 38"

Richmond "If you had real balls you'd put pick 1 on the table. Let the league you know you're a man who doesn't flinch making hard calls"

Joyce "yeh? check this - pick 1 and 20 and pick 38"

(Richmond list managers all collectively inhale, make eye contact with each other and consciously slow proceedings down)

Richmond (slowly) "... Hawthorn have been talking to Callum you know.. I'm not even sure we can stop them turning his head even though we'd much prefer to deal with you guys.."

Joyce "ENOUGH. Ok and Mahoney"

Richmond (long pause) "CJ is a tall forward, if you'd said Larkey it would've been much fairer"

Joyce "Alright. Larkey, pick 1, pick 20, pick 38"

Richmond (now scared of pouncing too quickly) "um...we'll get back to you"

Joyce "NO. you decide NOW"

Richmond (feigning fear) "wow you really are a man of conviction. You have yourself a deal"

<Joyce proudly adjusts his collar as Brad dusts a bit of his dandruff off and whispers "nailed it">

I didn’t realise this was a Richmond tears collection bank.

His name is Paul, enough said.

I never suggested he wasn't a front running squib. All I said was there's worse pick 105's out there!!
