Rogers was Warners only good partner, they should just go a bolter like Tim Ward who averages 50 after 5 shield games, put him in while he has good stats, whats the worst that can happen? Fail? Same as the rest of the journeyman there giving a go.

Khawaja with his talent has had a shithouse career, his attitude sucks and massively underachieved.
How does his attitude suck? Because he believes in his approach and technique? Because he likes to have fun playing cricket?

What a shit campaigner.

A list of players I would have open over Harris, off the top of my head:

Khawaja, Maddinson, Burns, Bancroft, Renshaw, Street, Hunt, Head, Street, Smarsh, D Hughes

Some controversial picks there, but I'm dead serious about all of them.

Renshaw and D Hughes from that list.

Harris has been given ample chances and hasn't delivered. I want him to succeed, but it's clear he's not test standard.

i agree - although i dont agree in dropping a bloke after first test of a series if he was deemed good enough to be selected in the first place (which i didnt agree he should have been picked).

Amazed Khawaja isn't in the side. Really should have been given more run by CA over the years, always one of the first to be dropped and now it seems Langer has it in for him as well.

Yep.

Warner is half the player he was a few years back. He'd have carted that through backward point for 4, but he's not got the reaction time.

His proactivity might save him, and it might be a rust/form thing. But he's looking as though he's trying to remember how to play, as opposed to playing on instinct.

Always weird seeing a clip of batsmen from the 80s, then contrasting that to the absolute tree that Warner bats with

Yes dock them points for the who cares championship that will teach them

Hurt Australia in the last World Test Championship, they would have been in the Final if it wasn't for losing points due to over rates.

What a sh*t campaigner.

Pretty woeful runner between wickets though. There are limitations to Khawaja he’s better than Harris but most are

I respect Chappelli for what he has done in the development of cricket broadcasting in this country

But he makes ABC radio damn near unlistenable. Time for him to find a beer and rest up in the pavilion.

Meh couldn’t care less about a one off match. Suspend them in the series that matters

All he had to do to make the side was play as opener for QLD in the shield games and the spot was his, instead he stayed at #4.

Barry Richards with the GN that he scored 325 in a day with and one of Warner's GNs.

Eh he was dropped when he was younger for not meeting fielding standards, and he got replaced by younger players now. He hasn't been that hard done by.

He has the 5th highest average of any Australian to debut this decade, and 5th of any current Australian players. One of those in front of him is Patterson. He's also finished in the top 10 Test run scorers twice in the last 5 calendar years of Test cricket.

I've said it a bunch, but he should virtually be a lock for Test selection, and should have been for the last 5 years.

strange to see Warner struggle to time them when they're just short of a good length... but he's still timing them well when they're full

I'm hopeful it's just a lack of cricket, but there is certainly a level of "he looks near retirement" considering Wood is bowling around 150km.

Yeah, I'm hopeful it's just a lack of red-ball cricket and he'll come good.

Would like to know who he beats. That would be an interesting list.
Not sure if anyone has replied to this, but he's not in particularly illustrious company:
