notsure. Burgoyne didn’t present number 9
Isn't Burgoyne working for Port? If so, then I can see why he didn't do it.

I wonder if we asked Cyril to do the phone call and that prompted the post from his missus.

Just sounded like he was very disappointed he never got to play an AFL game in the NT.
I believe once Kennett goes Cyril will be more responsive to attend Hawks functions again - the only player not to attend the 10 year anniversary of the 2008 GF. Cyril lost the desire to play AFL when his father got sick and his partner had been keen to return to NT for some time as well, but I believe a trip down to Tassie and Cyril's partner wore some torn Jeans and Kennett made a quip to her about buying some decent clothes and apparently gave her $200 to do so and she took quite a bit of offence at the remark, and it seems to have caused a rift with the club and the knee injury he got just cemented the early retirement.

Geez that’s generous. That along with his wife’s post suggested a clear disgruntlement with the club, beyond just playing a game in NT. Couldn’t be any clearer.

I think they got the numbers wrong. Moore is more of a 33 which normally goes to fast small forwards, and Brockman is more of a 13 which is for clever talented versatile forwards.
So which one was Junior Boy?

They don't seem to give the number to the same player type anymore. It all changed when Guerra retired and Ceglar was given no. 18 for 2014.

No they’ve still been doing that from time to time. Sicily changed to 6 after Gibson because of his defensive skills. Scrimshaw took the 14 from Birchall. Mitch Lewis got the 2 from Roughy.

Yeah there are still quite a few. Just seems harder to follow than it used to be. But then I guess Simon Crawshay did get the no. 23 a while back!!!

And who could forget the 23 going from one all time great in Franklin, to... *checks notes* ...another all time great in Tim 'Jasaulenko' O'Brien

We have this "thing" about #23, but after Peck, Scott and Brereton, it was worn by Crawshay, J.Crawford, Collica and Thompson before passing on to Buddy. Also, I wonder how many people remember #23 was allocated to Paul Abbott in 1982 but he didn't play a league game that season.

Nathan Thompson shouldn't be lumped in with Obrien, crayshay, Crawford and collica. Was a very good player and could've been a superstar if in a better side and injuries/depression didn't hold him back.

I remember that we were always much more attacking and dominant with him in the ruck over shaun rehn.
