Negative: it’s softLots of people saying they hate the idea of co-captains without giving any reasons. That speaks for itself IMO.
There's lots of pros that I can think of and not too many negatives:
Pros:
- Ensures pressure doesn't fall entirely on one person's shoulders. Better for mental health of the two captains and potentially leads to better individual performance
- Grimes and Nank can talk to each other about the role with a shared understanding and mutual empathy about challenges of the role etc.
- Have complementary leadership traits that give a more "rounded" captaincy experience to the players
- Easy for someone to fill in on gameday if one of them is out
- Age difference ensures easy transition in a few years time
Negatives:
- Against tradition???? People not used to it???
I would've been fine with one captain too but don't really see why two poses so many problems - especially when the choices have been done so intelligently by the club.
One captain is enough. If you have 2, you may as well have 3, or 5, or 12.Lots of people saying they hate the idea of co-captains without giving any reasons. That speaks for itself IMO.

But is a captain’s duties on a ship or a plane the same as their duties at a football club?Ever heard the phrase "Too many cooks in the kitchen"? Or the adage "A Camel is a horse designed by committee"?
Basically there is a reason why ships and planes have 1 captain and one focal point for leadership

Whats the difference.

**** mate, keep up with the times, it's Barnaby French.is it still warnock
Don't agree with the first - stronger chance that the players identify with both being captain.Other negatives are:
- The risk that the players won't identify with either player being captain.
- If you get conflicting messages from the 2 captains - who do you listen to?
- Risk of factions developing within the playing group. Those that voted for Nank and those that voted for Grimes
Mate ,our guys are that close they dry root in the showers. Don worry aboud tit.Other negatives are:
- The risk that the players won't identify with either player being captain.

- Risk of factions developing within the playing group. Those that voted for Nank and those that voted for Grimes
- Those that missed out Dusty, Flossy, Graham and Riewoldt get more pee'd off knowing they missed one of two spots instead of just a single role
no negatives mate only if you're a negative supporter or person, hearing benny gale speak it was the right call based on weighing all the data, player ages and personalities up against a one man captain and its huge demands.Other negatives are:
- The risk that the players won't identify with either player being captain.
